Right I have robbed peter and paid paul, so now at least the mortgage is covered for this month. Will be so glad when this car is paid for, it was good of the garage to allow us to pay this way really in this climate, but were nearly there, I have budgetted to pay €400 next month plus whatever OH can come up with so that should be almost the last of it.
We have a communion next month also and all the family are coming over for it were having a meal out at a local hotel so will have to budget that in too, although were only paying for ourselves. Hope the day is going to be nice and clothes wise little man is sorted charity shop mostly just got to get a tie from ebay, he has new shoes and the shirt was also brand new in the packet so all told less than €20 how mse is that?

You're so focussed, turfy, good for you - and your bargains sound great. I'm guilty of that kettle thing sometimes **KC hangs head in shame**

Morning everyone a bit grey here today but hopefully it will improve. Day 5 of diet and will weigh in on monday, feeling hungry but do feel less bloated so fingers crossed. Its just a question of keeping it up really and getting back to where I was before winter and hobnobs etc etc.

Off to get some shopping in today kids are at parties etc and eldest is feeling under the weather so she is staying home today.

OH has had some more work in so hopefully the car will get paid during may and one less thing to worry to about. Have a good day everyone.

Hi turfy! Sounds good to me - as the tum shrinks, meals naturally get smaller anyway, which helps in turn all over again. It *used* to work that way for me, anyway .... but I'm so bad at portion control, it doesn't at the mo :o

Any news on the market you baked for? How often is it?

Hi KC yes hoping the diet will get easier as I go on, not too much to lose really but I know its a slippery slope so must keep at it a bit longer.
Biccies are on sale again at the weekly market hope to make a bit of profit, it all helps especially as the childminding is a no goer at the mo.
A bit cloudy out there now, but looking forward to a bit of a breather with the bank holiday.

Had some news re the family I was trying to put in touch and they have had a meeting and will stay in touch, so wanted to share that with you too.:T

My all time favourite radio presenter died here yesterday only 53 and sudden so that has really depressed me! funnny how someone on the radio actually feels like an old friend. He did a morning show weekdays and Ive tuned in since we moved here 7 yrs ago. A real shame and I for one will surely miss him.

The day has started off dry so I'll get the uniforms out on the line, not much to report only to wish everyone a good bank holiday weekend.

Oh thats sad. Only 53 .... its no age at all, especially nowadays....

I'm glad to hear the news about the family connection, that its proved positive. That must a good feeling. I must check with you about town names in present day Ireland, but if I did it today, I'd end up prattling, I have to be out of the house in an hour or so, and I can't concentrate :):o I'm helping my sister with her husband's genealogy at the mo, she's trying to look at some of it for her kids. Have a good day, turfy
