Morning, Ive been number crunching again and cant afford another payment to barclaycard as hoped this month. Its just the way the dates are falling with the mortgage payment out and then money in the next day. A real pain, but if I have some childminding next week hopefully I will get ahead again. Seems to have been an expensive month, car tax, weekend away, oil bill etc etc Hope to get back on track next month.
Mum and Dad are coming for two weeks next month so really looking forward to that. Off to make another cuppa.Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

Ug to expensive months .... hate them! I have to confess, if I get anything from free bingo or mystery shopping and whatnt, I just stash it in a savings account at the mo, I'm trying to build it up so I can do something appreciable with it.
And you've got your mum and dad coming! Lovely - I just waved my mum off yesterday, to stay with my sister, and they're in France now, atmy sister's house - which hasn't collapsed from the winter storms, hasn't been devoured by mice or had its cables chewed through by ratsso they're both very happy they'll have somewhere to sleep tonight

We've had a hard month with cars, 2 to MOT, 1 to insure and the other needs taxing. Hope you have a good weekend.

Had the little ones for a couple of hours yesterday, had already been overpaid monday so didnt help moneywise, their mum had to go in for a blood test, she is ok and wants to go back to work on Monday.
Feel really tired this morning probably just because its Friday not sure about making that extra payment yet as I should get some minding work next week and could probably make a small payment. Decisions decisions dont want to leave myself short.
Sarnies made and kids want to walk to the bus!! which is about a mile and a bit if DD doesnt get her skates on she'll never get there!!!Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

Can you put the money for the overpayment into a separate account? That way if you really need it - you know, you'll get charges or something if you don't have it - you can still call on it, but you can still try to do without it. ?? I think that makes sense...........2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Hi KC yes I know what you mean, but the current account I have I make the international payment to visa with. I have an online savings account which I set up to save to pay off my loan early, the only thing is I cant move things online between the savings and the current which is a real pain, I can only pay into the savings IYSWIM, (this is Ireland afterall, and they are improving but not quick enough for the DFW's of this world):rotfl:I kind of have to work out in advance how much I can pay and as we were in Clare last weekend etc etc dont have as much as I want left to throw at dear old barclaycard. I long for the day I can get rid off it for good.Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

Gotcha. I have the same problem in France as you have in Ireland - I couldn't set up a link to an account online - I had to write a letter, scan it then email them the scan. It was incredible!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Boy am I glad I didnt go ahead and pay any more of dear old barclaycard this month. No childminding today the dad has a day off or so he decided at 9pm last night  so no money for me today. Its a good job I dont really rely on this income, I treat is as extra just as well. Anyway I will be telling them I cant childmind when my parents are over as the little girl is such an attention seeker and I its fine as long as its only us here but when you have anyone else here she becomes a nightmare!! So any extra I get this month will be put in the pot towards next months payments. No work for DH today either although he does have some work in the pipeline so fingers crossed.
Otherwise the sun is shining again, washing out and blowing, all seedlings coming on well so the day is good.:TVisa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

The hits and misses of self employment! And you don't get any cancellation fee, from the sound of it? Which I would, at least I have that..... I'm glad you haven't got an extra overpayment putting excess strain on you ..... and I like the sound of those seedlings.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
