Well im officially feeling shattered! I offered to help OH clear the back of the house, havent done it for a while we have been building this extension for 3 yrs (seems muuucccchhh longer) so all the rubbish has been hidden around the back. That was ok then we decided to tackle the back wall which is very old and stone, soil etc. it has a plinth that was so full of moss I thought I'd tackle that. What a job, my hands are hurting now as it was so tough to move and inbetween all the stone things growing. It looks good now and needs more work tomorrow but the worst is gone and between my shoulder blades is now well, hurting  Just had salad and fish for tea and a cuppa, think an early night is called for. x2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Had a busy few days working outside clearing and moving stones, but its looking much better now. OH got a bit stressed re the money for the car as he's paying the guy each month and he hadnt been paid himself, after lots of shouting etc etc he did get his money so we had to go off to the bank cash the cheque and he is now much happier. The stress he puts himself under is unreal, so next month I am going to just pay minimum on the card and give him the rest, we owe about €800 now for the car and its ours and I suppose its worth it not to go through that again. A bit of a storm in a tea cup but nevertheless its stress I can definitely do without.
Looks like it might be a nice day again folks, Im off to bake some biscuits, a friend is taking them to a local market, so I may make a few bob today.:TVisa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

Debts just *are* stressful, aren't they. Stepping back and paying the minimums only sounds like a good idea for a month. And biccies to sell! You must be a good cook!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Right then positive head is on today. Im off to the market with OH as no childminding today, just wish they would let me know earlier, I had to txt again at 9 last night to find out if I had them today or not. Anyway enough of that looks like the day will be nice so Im looking forward to a "day out" at the market, but wont be spending just see if my stuff sells. Have a good day everyone.Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

Thats really not good - sounds like you need to pull them back a bit, but its difficult once its up and running, I know :grouphug:
Enjoy the market - maybe you can also check out to see what *else* sells, and if you can provide it? Depends what type of market it is, but in the chichi markets here, there's often tiny little handknitted things - finger puppets, triangles of buntings for parties, brooches - that can't take very long to do, but are fiddly, and sell pretty well. Would you be into stuff like that?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well not a bad weekend really. I managed to make €20 on the cookies not a lot really but it covered my costs and a small profit too. There were loads of antiques etc lots of tat and food markets, plants etc it wasnt especially busy though and I'll probably get my friend to take another batch next week. KC Im not really crafty minded re the puppets etc and Im not someone who would be happy hanging around there all day either so this method suits me for now.
OH is a bit down as not much work around at the mo, he has one job this week and hopefully things will pick up a bit. No news on the childminding yet so will take with a pinch of salt, suppose not worth it if you have no work so its a knock on effect. May begin to think seriously about the cleaning though.Visa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Loan 2 €29,590 now €0 as of 22/02/2016 Mgage €55000/ €23,639 at 01/02/18

I'm glad the cookies made a profit, however small. Its all money! Sorry your OH is down tho, as you say the knock on effect of the people you provide services for not having work is considerable.
Cleaning - I did a cleaning job myself for a little while, when I was training for this job, I worked for an agency. I quite liked it, tho I loathe doing my own cleaning - it really felt like "a proper job"....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning everyone a bit showery here today. BM on and all washing etc done, got a shock elec bill last week so Im on a saving spree with that putting everything on the timer for the night meter, so hopefully that'll do the trick. Must go into the bank today or tomorrow as I need to rob peter to pay paul re the mortgage not sure if it'll go out before thurs so just to be sure and avoid the €12 charge if the have to re apply for the dd.
Its a nuisance at the mo we were doing so well, and now Ive promised to help out until the car is paid its making things very tight. Agh well thats my moan over with. Oh my word yes - if you have a night meter (in the UK, anyway) the day rate is correspondingly more expensive, not just the same as everyone else - so if you have it, you *have* to take account of it.... I hope you can work out the problem with the mortgage.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
