what other trouble? at worst we have a knackered turbo and need one or maybe a set of injectors. they arent too cheap but your broad diagnosis of a knackered engine was no help to anyone.

What do you think about my wife\'s old Fiat Brava. It has had blue smoke coming out the exhaust for a while, which I\'m sure it did not have before...do you think it will fail the MOT?

Who knows? It could fail on a CV gaiter... not that that has anything to do with the blue smoke...

Hi im going to get the car serviced before i think about wether its the injectors or not. i have been told that all these formulas that help clean the injectors don't work so im not going to bother with those.... i don't believe my engine is knackered and i know it will pass another MOT which is not due until Feb next year. We have had diesels in the past and they easily live beyond the 200k mark.

They certainly won't do any damage, and may help.
