The problem all but goes away with an oil and filter change and a pot of redex. It's part and parcel of an aging TDCi engine. Mine does it at 104k but behaves if you keep to the servicing schedule. Leave it much beyond 1k over and it does precisely what you describe.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Blue smoke is to do with the oil, you will probably need a compression test doing so you can determine the source of the leak...could be deterioration of the piston ring."He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,
He will kill your cat and nail him to the door"

I used a bottle of k seal when the gasket went on my 1998 daewoo( already had the head skimmed and gasket done when it went again)
8 months down the line its fine and just passed its MOT.
I was gobsmacked as it was smoking so bad I had to wait till the early hours of the morning to take it to a carpark to run it through the engine.
the security gaurd came over cause he thought my car was on fire.
very weird stuff but worked for me.0 -

This is what someone has told me to have done is a service as one of the filters maybe blocked etc, as i don't think its hard a service done for a little while.0 -

Check the service book / receipts that you got with the car, that should tell you when, and which type of service it had.0 -
the easiest and cheapest first attempt would be to replace the fuel filter, this might help with the hesitation....work permit granted!0

Speak to him, can probably sort it.FORD 2.0 & 2.2 TDCI (MONDEO/JAGUAR)
Now how do we say this.... should any problems with the injectors or pump develop don't worry, we can help!
We are led to believe that the latest TDCI is better...Happy chappy0 -
Agree - but think it advisable to have a fuel treatment at the same time, Fortes do a good one.goldspanners wrote: »the easiest and cheapest first attempt would be to replace the fuel filter, this might help with the hesitation.
Try and stick to same brand of diesel if you can - it will help.Genie
