hi scruffy thanks for thinking of me! I got the Tesco royal blue ones and am on the look out for any in red!I can knit a little (I am a proud wooligan I'll have you know), but can't do anything complicated. My mum made a pile of gorgeous cardigans' for LO and I've sent her off to do some in a bigger size as she keeps growing!!! I wish I was as creative as you. Have you looked at pattern making/dress making/upholstery etc evening classes run through schools in term time evenings? I'm thinking of doing one come september - i think it would be good to do something of my own.
Thanks r.mac, that's a lovely idea! Maybe if the clothes don't look homemade I'll get away with them for longer!!!
Got any pics of your LO modelling granny's cardigans?

Rrg, after a few nights which were ok, idiot baby woke and cried for a feed at 1ish, then woke and cried at 4 and eventually I got him to settle, then woke at 5.20 and cried and eventually I got him to settle, then woke up for the day and cried at 6.30. No clue what's up with him, he seems fine (if tired...) now he's up and about. I even tried to doze on the floor of the nursery with a spare duvet at 6.30, and let him crawl around the baby-safe room, but he wouldn't have it!
Yaaaaaaaaawn. Morning all.

can I just ask... because I don't get this... if you have just gone through the pain of labour etc WHY do you guys risk getting pregnant again? (not to anyone in particular, but there have been loads it appears who have not taken precautions before pills kicking in etc) or at least so soon! 8+ weeks and hubby hasn't been near me yet lol - partially because I want to make sure everything is healed but also because I do not under any circumstance want to risk another baby so soon
MrsTine I'm not keen on letting DH near me these days. Sex is something I really associate with having babies now - even when we were trying it was still good fun - now I'm terrified I'll fall pregnant just by holding hands:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: LO is 25wks today and we've only done it twice  I have to say that DH has bene very understanding - but naked hugs help;)I love the trousers Weezl - they're brilliant
I did big floor cushions when the boys were little. I just made big pillow case shapes out of some bonny cotton (bright green with brightly colours cars on!), put a zip on one end and stuffed them with an old duvet and pillows. They lasted ages until my old collie claimed them and they ended up a bit stinkyI also made a tiny pillow and a tiny duvet with the scraps - no idea why, must have been a bed for teddy or something. Charlotte found them when I was clearing a cupboard out and she think they're great and she is using them with her dolls and soft toys.
Sorry to hear about your Dad scruffy. Hope he gets better soon xx
I love the word Bonnyr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Has anyone ever heard of cranberries or blueberries or from concentrate juice causing problems when passed through breast milk?
It didn't make her sick, but Izzy was very windy and uncomfortable when I had it.:TI just got a red Bumbo seat on e-Bay for £7.99. It was listed as "Bumbu" so no one else bid on it. :money:

This baby has become obsessed with pulling my hair out. I keep it tied back but she still manages. I might have to wear a hair net or a bandanna or something!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Toby always has a couple of my hairs wrapped around his fingers. He likes to stick his hand up the back of my neck and get a nice fistful of hair!:TI just got a red Bumbo seat on e-Bay for £7.99. It was listed as "Bumbu" so no one else bid on it. :money:
Very clever, that is a real bargain!I even tried to doze on the floor of the nursery with a spare duvet at 6.30, and let him crawl around the baby-safe room, but he wouldn't have it!

No ironing here. I did iron or the first fortnight of the marriage, but after that I realised I didn't like it so I stopped. Luckily OH always works in places that have quite casual dress codes.
Sorry about your sleepless night. Toby is still on 2 hourly feeds overnight, so I can sympathise!
3 - nice to see you, how are you feeling? Enjoy your ironing!
MM - sorry about your sleep problems, hope you get it sorted. I was always a light sleeper as a kid, just didn't need much. Rule was I could do what I wanted till I was tired, as long as I didn't disturb anyone else. Hope you can get it sorted. You aren't a rubbish Mum, you are a fab Mum!

When shopping with littlies when my Mum was a childminder, first stop was always the cheese counter for a handful of the cubes of cheese they used to have. Why don't supermarkets do free samples anymore?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0
