I BF and occasionally FF and I also found that it was a complete faff to boil kettle, cool water and add formula every time. Also now hubby is back at work and Leila is permanently attached to my shoulder, I cant be messing with boiling water and shaking boiling bottles when shes in my arms. So I boil and cool water in 2 bottles each day just in case and put in fridge. Sometimes we use them and sometimes we dont but if I prepared the formula in advance then I would be more likely to use them rather than waste them so formula is added when nescessary. I warm the bottles in an avent bottle warmer thingy if needed.

Am I the only one who doesnt put theirs in the fridge ???
I leave the bottles of cooled boiled water out and add the formula to it as and when needed so that it is served at room temp. Oh and I do 3 at a time - so 3 bottles of water left out, then another 3 etc...

STOPTOBER CHALLANGE ... here we go !!
  • Hiya Molly! Glad to see you made it in here - Bronwen is abolutely beautiful :D

Have just been to posh Booby Club and we had to gel-disinfect our hands on the way in...you would like it there Sami ;)

Benjamin managed to sit up for about 30 seconds :T I think he only did it because I was telling one of the girls that he can't sit by himself yet!!!!

I also got him measured (Big Boobie had the scales and the height mat thingie out) and he is 70cm  that puts him on the 99.6th centile!! Will ask the HV to check this next week...he was wriggling a bit today so I am not entirely convinced that she got it right - but she certainly wasn't far out!!)

Feely - Benjamin has been coming in the bath with me or hubby for ages now (no seat - we just hold him) although we only do it when the other is around to help get him in and out. He hates it when I use his baby bath now - no room for splashing about :D

I was leaving them out but they were getting in the way so they were resigned to the fridge just to keep the work surface a bit tidier.

Welcome MTW, what a beautiful baby, I love the second picture with her head held up, never seen a pose like that, its great! About FF, when Toby made me decide to switch to formula, I bought a lot of the ready made stuff, as I was pretty worried about doing it wrong. I was nervous about measuring things wrong and not sticking to the guidelines, and the litre tetrapacks weren't much more expensive than tubs.

I was told I didn't need to put them in the fridge if it was just water
