.. Sorry for not knowing your circumstances, but your boy is back to school? Mine don't go back until September, why are yours so early?

Tia is in Scotland MotM; they start their hols earlier than England :)

.. I don't suppose anyone knows how to multi-quote different posts and reply in one post, like many do here. I feel i'm taking up too much thread space with all these replies, and I really can type and type and type...

The smaller button to the right of the Quote one :) You can click it on up to three posts, then click Reply (bottom left). HTH :)

Oooh, thank you elle_gee. This looks promising...

I can now stop taking up too much thread space :D

Sorry you don't speak to your parents. Mine are long gone, not that this is a bad thing, but that's another story for another thread. I've had bad parents and partners, so i'm determined the kids will be different.

They'll come around, but as I say, fallouts with the girls upset me and them, so it's lose lose.

I'm okay if anyone else abuses me, I think it's funny, but them, it's a different story

Does anyone's LO's have big canine teeth? I'm worried that by letting Keira have the dummy for so long it's messed up her teeth/roof of mouth. The way her mouth closes is the top canines go behind the lower ones, and so her teeth don't close down together, she has quite long ones though.

God I'm such an idiot, it's all my fault. I'd never noticed before.

Oh yes, I agree with that one too. I meant anyone can say anything about me, but when the kids call me something, or fall out with me, it hurts. Anyone else can call me what they like :D That's not an invitation btw ;)

I think it's important that children know they are loved. We all do it differently, but we are all aiming for the same goal.

I don't go without food, it's never come to that, however I don't spend any real money on myself, preferring to save it. Their are always things needed for the girls, and they are learning to budget and save along the way.

I forgot to mention the college trip today, but i'll save it for next time, I must go to bed.

Sorry, not noticed it in mine. The teeth are meant to collide, but that will be adult teeth and i'm guessing as she has a dummy, she isn't anywhere near her milk teeth falling out, so may not be a big issue.

I wouldn't blame yourself though. I know it's rich coming from someone who blames himself when one of his as much as coughs, but you cannot blame yourself.

I'm sure someone else will have better experience of this.

No she is only 3, hoping her teeth last her until she is at least 7!

Thing is we were just at the dentist and he didn't mention it at all, but she does have an "open bite"

I do wonder if it will self correct? Or maybe I've left it too long. I think sucking the thumb does more damage but I should of taken it off her years ago.

I had braces from the age of 8 (yes 8!) until 16, had the ones you can remove in to start with, and then train tracks from 13+. I hated it, everyone made fun of me because I lisped for aggeeeeeeees because of it. I do have straight'ish teeth now, though one tooth has went back a bit. I just don't want her to have gammy teeth like I did, and I was apparently on a dummy till I was 5:rolleyes:

Mine were around 6 when they started losing theirs. Pretty sure they were all 6 or 7.

I wouldn't panic about gammy teeth just yet, especially as they will be replaced by adult teeth in the future, although I appreciate the concern is here and now. I think the point I am making is, it shouldn't be a permanent problem.

I've never used dummies, so don't know the pros and cons.

It may be best to post on the health board and ask the dentists there? I'm no expert sadly. I hope your mind is put too rest by them if you do choose to post there.
