I was going to ask when children are able to take themselves to school these days.
I'm sure I did when I was about 6 - but that was the olden days when there wasn't any weirdos about!

From Yr 3 for my two. However, our street is a small cul-de-sac of 16 houses and we live half way up. The bottom of the street backs onto the school field, so they just have to walk along the side of the field and they're at the gate. No roads to cross and I can see them most of the way from the bedroom window. I can also spy on them in the yard at playtime, and if I come home when they're playing on the grass, loads of little voices shout at me to wave at them :D

oh I meant to say before ,BIL wasn't allowed to walk to school until he was at high school, I remember walking to collect him when first with OH  that boy I picked up from primary school is now off to uni in september!!

A boy in my class lived next door but one and he wasn't allowed to walk to primary school on his own as we had to cross a quiet road. When we went to secondary school, it was a mile walk crossing some busy roads. His parents were so worried, they moved to a house next to the secondary school so he could get there without crossing roads. He's just added me on facebook and asked how I was, and I was so tempted to ask if he was allowed to cross the road yet :o:rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

OOh, they're so cute! But they only go up to size 11. Liv is a 13 - maybe I could amputate a couple of toes! ;)

I'll let you know if they're reputable - I accidentally ordered a set! :rotfl:

    I'm off to bed!

Hope everyone gets a full nights sleep!

No, I would never have kissed my mum or dad past the age of about 10...But then I suppose it depends on how you are raised. I was out drinking, taking drugs and stealing cars by the age of 13 and my dad kicked me out the house at just turned 15.....

You are obviously an excellent dad:D

I never kissed my mum or dad.......ever!

    You little tearaway!

I think because they have been pooped on (twice for two of them) by their Mothers, first one was aggressive, second one manipulative and jealous of them, they've needed a little bit more affection, than if their Mothers were nice kind loving women. I've always treated them as well as I can, been open with them and a few times aside, it's always worked out and always does in the end.

An individual thing, like many things I suppose :o

You are going to make my head big you lot. I really don't see myself as anything more than 'doing my job' and being a little lucky. I always doubt whether i'm doing right, let alone think i've done well.

Anyway *waves hello to the slingy ladies* Twas good, next time I will have an actual conversation with Sami and 3! I didn't get a neb at your sling 3 what kind is it, it looked good :-) And Sami, the sling really is a lovely colour in rl, I didn't manage to get to you or send someone to you but if you tuck Ed's head into on of the crossed over bits you might find it easier to keep him steady and tighten the pocket bit. I can hunt down a photo of what I mean if you like but it looked very good to me! As long as you're both happy in it :-)

Whenever I see 'sling meet' or 'slingy', and now you have said 'slingy ladies', I keep singing in my head, Beyonce's 'Single Ladies', but as 'Slingle Ladies'

Maybe you could adopt the tune as your theme? :o

Or maybe not, the song drives me round the bend :D

Rrrrr, random domestic drama :( OH shouted at the baby for not sleeping, I told her off, she stormed out :( repeat 100 times, "being right does not mean that saying so is OK"

Sounds like my two estranged partners and me. Not meaning to panic you or anything :o

You must always say when you are right though ;)

It horrifies me that a kid can make a man so much more attractive to some women. The presence of a kid implies at least the one-time presence of a woman and the possibility that the woman is still around.

I became a lady magnet when I started being a father. I found, and still find it, quite bizarre.

I wondered why women looked at my hands, I thought maybe they were going my some kind of myth and my hands would tell them something, until someone told me they were likely checking if I had a wedding ring

Well, mini-drama over anyway, I cuddled baby to sleep then lured OH back with text message promises of cheesecake and pictures of her boobies with Elijah hanging off them, now all is well again except she is upset about being a bad mother etc. Off to soothe her! Thanks all.

Okay, so that's where the comparisons end with my 2 estranged partners. :rotfl:
