    i need some advice...
i have TT CTN bottles. DS doesnt seem to be able to get a proper latch on then, so is constantly dribbling a stream of milk from one side of the teat. and then i have the problem of him gulping down the milk - which gives him loads of wind. and his last feed, he was sick all over me, twice, which was only a 4oz feed, of which he took 3oz.
anybody have any similar problems, and found a solution!?
im not sure whether to change his bottles or not, as he is only 10days old, so possibly still leanring to suck and latch properly?!??

    hey redmel,
it is the 1st teat that i am using at the minute. i think im gonna pop to tesco to see if they have them in stock and give them a try.
I never thought it may be because he is sucking too hard...!!
If that doesnt help, then ill try changing bottles. I have heard good things about mam too sami, so maybe try a couple of them. What do i do with 8 TT CTN bottles thou!!!!!?????

I have also heard good things about MAM bottles, but just changing teats is a hell of a cheaper option:money: Like I say it worked for me every time, and Kai used to be sick a lot, through wind from sucking too hard....he also used to get tired and fall asleep half-way through some feeds:cool: The new teats fixed both problems...well after the initial adjustment period:)

Karaoke Queen - oh dear!

I normally use DS1, DD1 and Violet . I probably shouldn't as Violet isn't such a common name, so anyone searching would find my posts! (Not that i'm horrible about anyone - usually!). :o

I used to sing in a band in my youth  so other than the Russ Abbot debacle I made a decent effort at a few ditties ;) one of the guys (goes without saying he was drunk) asked if I was a Pro....which I am now hoping wasn't short for a prostitute

MotM - nothing wrong with single dads :) My dad was a single dad with me for years... poor chap suffered horrendously with a girl to bring up - Like when I insisted on "making dinner" for him consisting of my favourite foods... nutella and salami... (I was 4 before anyone says anything about my lack of cooking skills! :P)
Acceptable at 4 - but have your cooking skills improved at all?

I forgot to say carla 3 will vouch for how 'well' my baby drank his bottle:D
Yes - I looked and thought ahh, he's having his bottle. Blinked, looked back and the bottle was drained dry! :rotfl:

Those with unwanted CTN bottles - stick them on ebay! Someone might be on the lookout for some! :p

I was going to ask when children are able to take themselves to school these days.
I'm sure I did when I was about 6 - but that was the olden days when there wasn't any weirdos about!
DD is insisting she's big enough (nearly 9, about to start Yr4), and i'm insisting she's not! Towards the end of last term, she cycled while I walked far enough behind so as not to be embarrasing mum! :D
Its about a 10 minute walk with just one small road which has a lollypop man.
I walked when I was in reception (age 5) but there were no roads to cross, it was five minutes walk and my mum could see the entrance I went in from one of our windows so could check I got there okay.

Then hubby came to collect us and drove me to SILs and the girlies went into the village for a pub meal and some drinkie-poos...culminating in us singing Russ Abbots 'Atmosphere' at the top of our voices on the karaoke :rotfl::rotfl:
that's one of my fave party songs :rotfl:(usually sang in a whisper in my sis's ear at some boring family do :p)

do ebay still allow them? when I had Chris I looked to see if they were going cheap on there and people were selling used ones

Carla - if you do change bottles altogether try and buy a single one to start with...no point in forking out for a load of new ones just to find that they don't hit the spot either.

Avent def do 1 packs :D
