anyone know where I might find info on more classes/groups on t'internet?
non of the surstart ones are suitable for both boys and I just can't face using the creshe (sp?) I'm such a snob :o plus its mostly for Chris's benefit

Can you contact your local council? They gave me a list of all the local groups for around here.
i dont do groups ... dont like them ... to scared i think x

They are really not that scary - cos you have your baby with you - so you always have someone to talk to ;) and you don't have to worry about making conversation either...just 'oh s/he is gorgeous' and 'does s/he sleep' is enough to get you going :rotfl:

    You should try it!

    Sami, have you tried netmums?

I have met a mum through netmums who happens to live about 2 mins away from me, on the street around the corner and have been in touch with a few others that live in the same town too:)

I 2nd MFD, go try a few if you don't feel comfortable don't go back, I tried several before settling on the one I still use. It's a drive away but because (mostly) everyone was nice the drive doesn't bother me. I'd rather go to one I could walk to but they are all too chavvie IKSWIM.

ETA I 3rd MFD mel beat me to 2nd place

Argh! I am so bored! Amber got to the ward with me and there is nothing to do when she is sleeping. Had several cups of tea. For the past week it's been feed her at special care, express, eat, go feed again and catch a nap if I could. Now its just sit doing od all for 3 hours. Getting home tomorrow.

Is it normal for a week old breast fed baby to only have a half hour feed? Don't want her sugar levels dropping again.

ah I will :) I had no idea where to start, all the groups I've been to were surestart or had a link through a friend

do you have to be a member to go to the coffe mornings? I think there is one at my nearest starbucks but I always assumed I couldn't go (and wouldn't fit in but I've changed a lot - I'm now a bit of a hippy :p)

At ours you have to pay £1 towards the hire of the room and the coffee (the hold it at a church hall), but they don't mind if you are a member or not. If you are at starbucks you might not even have to do that? Worth finding out. If you don't like it you don't have to go again after all :)

What a bloody shame :( what reason is there for anybody to be negative - we are all just trying our best to raise our kids.

People make me so angry sometimes...
