All went well, I survived, even had a nice time. Toby was brilliant. Had to get him weighed twice, as they thought it might have been written down wrongly. He has gone from the 50th Centile at 8 weeks, to the 98th Centile at 16 weeks!
ETA - he is now 18lb and 12oz!
Well done glad you had a fabby time and Toby is fairly putting on the weight with your gold top!!Well he had the grand sum of 45 Mins! He seems happy enough though giggling away talking to his daddy and the dog. Yeah your correct with the ages 3. Glad my appointments are made for me otherwise I am sure I would forget:rolleyes:I thought babies had to have milk so it they weren't having breastmilk they'd have formula, the follow-on type until one year.. Is that wrong?I know it's been said that follow-on milks are a marketing ploy, but don't 6-12mth olds have to have milk of some description??
El stopped BF around 9 months and refused FF and cows (I know it's meant to be a year b4 they get this) but HV said not to stress as long as she was eating and drinking water/juice well.
And I think it's bad packing for going away, I can't start to imagine the extras you have to take.Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -

Which unfortunately meant that poor Benjamin had no clean sleepsuits to go to bed in so he is squeezed into a 3-6m oneOh, something else..
I was telling my mum we were talking about when to stop breastfeeding. She said she stopped at six months, so I asked her what we drank between then and having cows milk at one year old and she thinks it was just water and orange squash!! (this was 23-25 years ago)

I thought they'd have had formula., unless we used to be allowed cows milk earlier in ye olden days?
Mum didn't f/b me, cos it wasn't the done thing in the (early) 70's so formula must have been available.
My DS and DD2 are fast asleep, DD1 is having a sleepover at Mums and OH is working. I've got the tv remote all to myself and i'm bored already!
My dad was FF in 1956 it's been around a looong time.
Elle Chris didn't have follow on formula we just kept on with the stuff we'd used for the previous months0 -
I've always wondered how long my Mum BF for. I think she stopped when we started walking, but I'm not sure - she mentioned how that is a good time, they've gained their independence and want to be off doing things, and is a natural and easy time to give up. Then again, my Dad asked me if I'd be giving up when Toby gets teeth, which I wouldn't of thought he'd have asked if she fed me when I had teeth. I don't like to ask these things!
OH was completely formula fed in the 70's. His Mum tried BF'ing but couldn't. I didn't ask why. Then again, they don't know how I feed. When I was giving bottles, I hid it, and even now I feed in hiding and don't mention how I feed!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
