"Emma Bridgewater is offering 10% off to Mumsnet members. To claim your discount please enter the code mnet when ordering. If you are placing a telephone order call 020 7371 5489 and quote mnet. This discount is not valid during sale periods."

thanks you thanks you thanks you thanks you thanks you thanks you a million times :D
I went out! I went to the clinic, and I went for coffee afterwards!

All went well, I survived, even had a nice time. Toby was brilliant. Had to get him weighed twice, as they thought it might have been written down wrongly. He has gone from the 50th Centile at 8 weeks, to the 98th Centile at 16 weeks!

ETA - he is now 18lb and 12oz!

Feelie - I am so pleased youwent and even more please you had a good time. You must have gold top milk :D

Guess what? I got a bizzie baby email saying I will be reviewing the learning curve pyramid? no idea what it is so off to google it.... I am soooo excited :D

Oh and why we chose Annabel Rose?

Well, I liked isabelle, isabella, grace, charlotte - but DH didn't. He liked - actually I can't remember what he liked:rotfl:our final shortlist had Anna and Olivia on it. However, a week before she was born DH suddenly said, 'If it's a girl, I think Annabel Rose would be nice'. When we looked at her in special care she didn't look like any name we could think off so we settled on Annabel Rose. IF we were to have another I think Olivia might be top of my list................and possibly keep with the flower theme for a middle name. My one specification was NO FAMILY NAMES (MIL would be offended if we didn't chose hers you see :o)

Do any of your kids eat prawn toasts and if so from what age... my sister said that they should be 5 to eat seafood?
I've no idea what prawn toasts are but Alice has been having seafood since she was about 9 months. My HV told me that (assuming you don't wean till 6 months) all you need to avoid before they're one is nuts, honey, sugar and salt.

If you follow the advice in the NHS book you shouldn't give liver until age 5 because they say you should give multivitamins and that if you do you shouldn't give liver but I don't remember reading anything about seafood.

We decided not to go with family names too because we figured if you go down that route, you've got to make it fair and it would be too complicated/restrictive. Actually I did have a Great Auntie called Alice but I only remembered that a couple of weeks after Alice was born but I think it's a distant enough link that nobody is too bothered.

There's info on codeine and breastfeeding here: http://www.breastfeedingnetwork.org.uk/pdfs/Analgesics_and_Breastfeeding_March_2009.pdf If you've had it and everything was fine at the time then there's nothing to worry about. Just some babies have had reactions...

Probably Rhys and dodginess again!

susan - if it's what I think it might be from googling 'learning curve pyramid' which is all the info the email contained, then it would be too young a toy for Alice :( You will get the mega item to test I bet :D

It'd better be something good - it's been over a month now.

Ah - I would call them prawn crackers. I throw them away but I'm sure they don't have any real prawn in them anyway.

This was mine too, well no extended family...even for middle names!
That is why the first two got Paul (dh first name) and Kai got Thomas (dh middle name) Next one will be Thomas too;) Or if a girl then Anne...which is my middle name:)
