Did you buy anything else as an alternative for your 3?

No - I just let them get on with it in their own time. Joshua and Charlotte did the usual pulling themselves up on the sofa, then cruising up and down holding on to it before letting go. James was 9 months and just stood up one day and walked across the room. My Mam was round for coffee and we just watched him completely speechless :D

oh yes meant to ask, when anyone was expecting their 2nd child, did you find out the sex at your scan or not.... still deciding.....

Pleased you had a good holiday. We were going to find out the sex of James but he was all curled up in a little ball so it was hard enough for the poor radiographer to get the important measurements, never mind look at his bits!

We found out Charlotte's sex at the 20 week scan, and then I had complications and had more scans later on so we had it confirmed she definitely was a girl. When I had the first extra scan, the lady put the scan thing on my tummy and asked if we knew the sex and we said at the last scan they thought she was a girl. The lady laughed and said "she definitely is a girl as that's her hamburger on the screen right now." I've never been able to look at a hamburger in the same way since :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

using the fat fingers site martin recomends and adding any more misspellings I think of :)

ETA: i found the best results from the ones i guessed at tho  possibly due to the weird words bumbo and jumperoo though maybe fat fingers is better for 'normal' stuff

    That's terrible Elle! X

Just re-read Sami, now I see how it works. Been a bit muddled today. I just put Jakes bedding in the tumble dryer and have melted his mattress cover!

Phew, only just been able to log on for weeks and no chance of catching up.

We decided not to find out with our second on the basis that there was nothing else about the pregnancy which was 'new' or a surprise. DH wanted to find out, but only because he wanted to get rid of the pink stuff if we were having a boy. I didn't think this was a good enough reason!

Alex has colic we think. So he basically screams from about now until he crashes around 11-12. He does have a bit of wind and Infacol has helped a bit with this, but there's more to it. Tonight we've started with Colief, which is a right faff if you're BF as you have to express a bit to mix the drops with, then give them that off a spoon, then feed. That's going to be fun at 3am!

Right, bath and bedtime for Imogen and I need to sort tea out so best dash. Sorry I'm not around much any more.

Oh, one last thing. Our local Mothercare had certain Bumbos on sale at £26. They were in red or pink so we bagged a red one. I'll be flogging that on Ebay for around the same amount in about another 6 months. How very MSE!

And Emma Jayne called me today and will be sending some nursing bras in the next day or so. Hurrah!

That Jumperoo thing looks brilliant, I'm not sure if those things were on sale 3yrs ago? Maybe they were and I was just too cheap to buy one :p

We have just spent ages tidying and re-organising the living room, put OH's desk and PC in the bedroom as there just isn't enough space through here, so he just ordered a wireless card thing for the PC. Though he's now talking about needing a laptop

I have two shelf units up on my wall, they aren't very functional as you can't fit much on them, and now they look off centre as we moved the TV and stand further along, might just take them down and FINALLY get pictures put up on the wall.

When Woolworths was closing down I got a nice picture frame, all different sizes inside it, so was going to put pictures of Keira as a baby upwards in it, but some of the sizes you need are ridiculous, something stupid like 2X4 or something, not much bigger than a passport photo! With the likes of Snapfish etc, can you edit the pictures before hand, you know, maybe zoom in or something so when you put the picture in, it's not cutting off an important part of her face, like her errr head!

    It was a bargain though......

We found out the sex, I'm way too impatient, my dad was hoping I'd have a boy, as he's always wanted a boy and never got one, always was outnumbered in our house haha.

OH's parents didn't want to know what we were having, think they knew as we kept saying things like "Oh bought her a moses basket today" "got some pretty pink blankets"

    Ah well :D

Does anyone know if gift cards/vouchers run out? These will be 6 months old now.
They usually say somewhere on them if/when they expire.

We just used colief for the last feed, it was interesting reading up about what causes colic.

Lu - breastmilk can be stored at room temp for a while (can't remember off the top of my head but 5 hours springs to mind?) so you could take a small amount up to bed with you and mix it as soon as baby stirs?

Mmm - you prob won't get this will you? Will PM it to you too!
