Am the only mummy in the world whose baby has singing, flashing, vibrating bouncing chair but will only settle if I bloomin bounce it?!?

I'm sat here now rockingit (with my fingers feeling funny as the vibrate is also switched on) and she's half asleep but everytime I stop rocking it, she protests. Will keep going in the hope I might send her off to sleep and I can wash my hair before going to the Drs!

Oh, I forgot to say, in my moaning/desperate posts on Fri night, I mentioned my DH's blood tests were due back today. They are back and are all clear. We're a bit torn, as it's obviously good nothing has shown up but, on the other hand, he's been feeling so rough that we think there must be something wrong.
have they said what the next step is?
My OH went through allsorts including a camera up the jacksy _pale_ before they decided on IBS

Oh, good luck with the consultant!

May I ask a quick question? How long does a c-section scar hurt for? I wasn't given any painkillers, I'm cautious about BF and OTC meds and I found myself crying from pain last night.

I was off painkillers during the day at 10 days, and off all painkillers at night at 14 days. I was still conscious of it at 7 months.

There is no next step unless he books another appt with the Dr. But, being as stubborn as anything when it comes to Drs, he won't book one yet as he felt fine over the weekend

I'm going to have words with him when he comes home from work though, as he isn't right and hasn't been right for a good few weeks now, so it needs to get sorted, whatever it is.

I've had a camera down my throat but not up the other end. Don't think I really fancy that _pale_

Weezl - I used a baby walker for both my older two and Kai has one, he scooots around the house in it...he absolutely loves it. I have never had any problems with my boys feet...Well ds2 has funny feet, but he was born with that problem, and ds1 walked at 8mths, so to be fair he wasn't really using it for long. So I couldn't give you much insight into long term usage and feet problems!

But it is (as Becles says) one of those things that receives so much conflicting advice over, you just have to make your own mind up.

My boys have all loved it and Kai has never been one for lying down, anything that allowed him to be sat/stood up has always been welcomed in this house:)

Chopsticks, feel free to ignore me... But if she will settle and sleep while she's on you then I would just make the most of it and sit cuddling her for a while, worry about putting her down a bit later when she's more settled... She just needs to know you're close at the minute and she will settle down as she gets a bit bigger and starts to get an idea of what life outside the womb is like... I know my first 6-8 weeks with Caitlyn were pretty horrific, if she wasn't feeding or sleeping she was crying... But gradually she started to be a bit more relaxed between feeding and crying and sleeping and crying... And now she's 12 weeks she's quite chilled... She does still need to be held a lot (hubby carried her all around a carboot yesterday because she didn't like being in the forward facing pushchair) but she's happy to sit in her swing for 10mins now too...

Ooh, and how are you at feeding lying down? Because the thing that works the best for us when we're at home is lying on the bed feeding and once she's asleep I can scoot backwards off the bed and leave her to sleep while I get other things done...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I've been wondering about baby walkers too! My big two didn't have one - DS was late doing everything anyway, but DD was walking at 9 months without the need for a walker. We didn't have them because of the safety scares. But i think the olden days walkers, had circular bases, so that if they hit anything, they'd tip! The newer square ones are less tippable!

Violet is also an upright baby! She's never liked lying down so I think she'd love it. Her favorite place is in the door bouncer!

Just looking online at Mothercare/Argos/Tesco - Argos don't seem to have any! Typical as I have Argos voucers to spend!

Does anyone know if gift cards/vouchers run out? These will be 6 months old now.

Just reminded myself - who was after a bouncer/swing on a frame rather than on a door way?

    Is that any use?

Still a ways to go then :(

Thanks! I can't believe how shy they were to give me painkillers. Ibuprofen the day after a C section, and I had to plead for more on day 2.
