I bought one of those Grobag ones from THAT TKMaxx today too :D I wanted to see what the difference was between the super-expensive Grobag ones and the cheapo ones from Tesco (or wherever). Turns out that the difference is about a foot of extra material!!

The one I bought was 6-18 months ( not much difference in size there then!!) because I thought Benjamin would be too long for the 0-6m ones. It is massive! There is about a foot of extra space at the bottom!

I will try it at some point but I think I will be keeping hold of it until he is a bit taller.
We didn't put Alice in sleeping bags till 5 months (when she started coming out of her covers) so bought 6-18 months. We just used to tuck the end under the mattress as it helped stop her move around so much. The important things is that their head is big enough not to go down through the neck hole.

Just what I was going to say.

I'm not sure if I'm going to reach a point where I'm comfortable feeding in public. Not from a flashing my boobs point of view, more from the frustration of Rhys faffing about. When he gets there, he's good at it - it's just the getting him there that's the problem! It's much easier, at the moment, to give him a bottle to make sure we get the milk into him.
I don't think I ever breastfed in public (unless you count in the car) until Alice was almost one. Particularly in the early days she used to stop quite frequently during feeds for the toilet so it would have been too much faff.
Elle - you never know, he might get it one day...Benjamin used to faff, then he was fine, now he is so nosy that if anyone makes a noise he lets go and turns around to look - cue exposed MFD boobies - HELLO STARBUCKS ;)
:rotfl:Alice went through a phase like that where I couldn't feed her in public because she would just stop to see what was going on.

Alice has been coming out with some funny phrases lately. This afternoon when she saw our neighbour she started shouting, "Good morning lady". (I don't think either of us ever says good morning.) She had a nap in the car and when she woke up she said, "Gone too far, lost now." (Not a phrase we use generally.) One day she woke up saying, "4 5 6 7 8 9 10". (Very random but she is obsessed with numbers at the moment.) She also says random numbers like 27 or 46 or 35 when we've only taught her up to 13. My absolute favourite is when she woke up and the firstt hing she said was, "No teaset!" I've no idea how she would know about teasets in the first place.

Oh and Alice sometimes goes round with too many clothes but only because she wants to and I do place limits on it (such as refusing to let her wear a winter coat today when it was boiling hot) so she doesn't wear excessive layers - just more than is necessary.

Sami those stories are just horrific. It really upsets me when I read things like this, just this week a local toddler aged 17 months has died after becoming trapped between the seats of the parents camper van. As a parent you just cannot imagine what they are going through, its so very sad.

    hi ladies,

MM - hope you are okay after today.

my little girl seems to have the bug that looks like it's doing the rounds. she was very sicky yesterday but seemed okay as the day went on, however she has been the same again today. she did have some baby rice tonight so hopefully that will fill her belly a bit. although, i think she may have passed it onto me as i'm not feeling all that brilliant.

she is currently awake but i just went to give her her bottle but she was sick with the bit she had so i will leave that for a bit i think.

    hope everyone else is okay

    xx
