Asda have some gorgeous bright blue bugs bunny fleecy sleepsuits at the moment! Absolutely beautiful :D

    This one? :)

I love you Elle - you listen to me :rotfl:

    Always! :D

Maybe...he has grown lots height wise, he is a very tall boy who has grown 18cm in his 20 1/2 weeks of life!!

It may have something to do with his massive pukiness on Fri/Sat last week

I just hate it because I thought we were doing really well :( losing weight over a week wouldn't bother me...but over a month....

...I will be forcing my boobies on the poor chap at every opportunity!!

I also feel very guilty because I forgot to take him to clinic 2 weeks ago and yesterday I went for the end of the session and the (stand-in) nurse had already left. If I had my head in the right place I would have known that there was a problem already.

    More hugs? :grouphug:

Did you just get the one? We got the short one handwritten, plus a long one handwritten and two typed long ones. Got the extras specifically cos MFD warned us you had to fold it! :o I sent one of the typed ones and will use that same one if I have to take/send it anywhere.
Ours were both typed. I planned to get extras but then when OH went to make an appointment for registering they got him mixed up with someone else and so he got to register her straight away instead and I hadn't reminded him about the extras.

I think after reading the leaflet on contraception im inclined to go for the natural method. I was very regular so hopefully should be again. I know I dont ever want to be pregnant again but DH doesn't want a snip and I have had enough of hospitals and pain to last a lifetime. Nothing else really suits.
I read about a study which compared people who had finished having children with people who were just using NFP for child spacing and nearly all of the ones who got pregnant were the "spacers" as they were less bothered about being careful.
I'm a bit gutted to report that Benjamin was not discharged by the consultant this afternoon as we had hoped :(

She said that developmentally he is advanced and his motor skills are particularly good but he has lost weight over the last 4 weeks (since I last had him weighed) so he is now around the 25th centile for weight but the 91st for height.
    :grouphug:

OH and I were both seeing the consultant at the hospital as babies. We both went more than once expecting to be discharged only to not be discharged because of minor things unrelated to the original problem which we would never have seen a consultant for if we hadn't been going already. It seems like once they get you then they keep seeing you until they are satisfied that absolutely everything even if it is unrelated is okay.

At one point Alice dropped down to almost the 25th centile on weight (from 75th originally) and was between 75th and 91st for height but she gradually went back up again.

The jumperoo Im watching on ebay is ending in a couple of hours and its at £42 already. Im wondering should I just pay the £66 for a new one from Argos , the 2nd hand one on ebay will probably still go up in price anyway.
you can probably find a voucher code for argos or do you have nectar points to spend

Watching me is only slightly naughty most of the time! (not since Bruno Brookes stopped being famous have I had this level of name hassle! :p)

Elle, we've had that exact same scare as they try to roll to their doom - I bet everyone has. The slightly reassuring thing is the number of people who've told me about their failures to catch baby, and how after 5 minutes of crying everything was fine...

And I've actually seen the 'head staying where it is while the body escapes' in action, it's highly amusing! (possibly less so for OH and the breast involved...)

I'm in the didn't catch them group :o

OMG Bruno Brooks! remember that blind date type show he did

My HV came yesterday to do her hearing test and said about weighing her, I just held her in 2 hands and said that she felt heavier so she didn't need weighing. If there was a problem they'd be unhappy. And it was Benjamin that was poorly wasn't it? Or am I getting muddled as usual as they dramatically loose weight when they have a bug. Hope you're ok MFD. XXX

Did Sami get an answer as to whether or not cranberry juice affects BF?

no definitive answer but 2 full feeds brought straight back both after not long having drank it I'm not risking it again ;)

Ohh MFD don't worry too much yet. If he seems happy and healthy, he is perfectly entitled to be tall and thin if he likes! Elijah spent some months at around 50th for height, 0-1 for weight... scary but he was still totally unaffected and content, so it was never a real drama.

MFD: if you'd had B weighed 2 weeks ago he'd probably have put on weight, he's most likely only lost weight from being ill and it'll all be back on in a week or so.
don't be feeling guilty for something that isn't your fault, it's nobody's fault

MFD, if he was struggling you would have noticed, dont beat yourself up about it! you say he doesnt sleep much so he must be really active and burning off loads. and its good news that he doesnt have a birth injury, yay :j

we have not had a good day :( seths reflux has been getting gradually worse for the last couple of weeks so i rang the doctor to make an appointment, and they had no appointments for nearly 3 weeks  so they put him on the emergency list for today, i did say its not an emergency but i didnt fancy waiting 3 weeks, so it was their choice to do so.
when i got there it was a doctor i've seen before but didnt like, so straight off i wasnt impressed. he then put his head round the corner to look in the buggy and announced that his weight must be ok and that he wasnt going to weigh him cos he looked fine. he hasnt been weighed for a month firstly cos of moving house and secondly cos i didnt know when the clinic was in the surgery til today, so it really annoyed me that he assumed his weight was ok without checking.
i told him if we keep him upright its 50/50 as to whether the feed will stay down or not and if we lay him down something will always come back up, and that he nearly always brings up clear stomach acid with milky lumps between feeds and then he cries for ages with pain.

he decided to tell me that the nhs doesnt prescribe medication to ease my laundry pile, of course he cries when he is sick because who likes being sick, i was wasting their time taking up an emergency appointment cos there was no need when i could have waited to take him in on a proper one and because he is a good weight there is no need to do anything to help him at all! he didnt even examine him. i just walked out without a word, if i'd said anything i would have burst into tears! it would seem that as long as his weight is ok, its fine to just let him suffer in pain  facking bumhole

Emlou, that's terrible. I would see another Doctor tomorrow and tell them exactly what you just said here. He needs complaining about. I would try and see a lady doctor if possible. XXX
Too many children, too little time!!!
