Sami, I'd heard the 7lb thing somewhere too - probably from you on here!
He's probably too little for them now from the neck hole point of view anyway. I just thought I could get one from wherever does the smallest sizing to have ready and waiting for when he is big enough.0 -
Elle - toys r us had some winney the pooh ones in their sale recently... they might still have some?DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I think after reading the leaflet on contraception im inclined to go for the natural method. I was very regular so hopefully should be again. I know I dont ever want to be pregnant again but DH doesn't want a snip and I have had enough of hospitals and pain to last a lifetime. Nothing else really suits.
The jumperoo Im watching on ebay is ending in a couple of hours and its at £42 already. Im wondering should I just pay the £66 for a new one from Argos, the 2nd hand one on ebay will probably still go up in price anyway.

Oh lucky you, hope you have a lovely time. Im off to the cinema later, OH wants to watch Bruno! I know its naugty but I love it when Joshua and Lexi stay at my mums, we come home and have the whole house to ourselves!

Watching me is only slightly naughty most of the time! (not since Bruno Brookes stopped being famous have I had this level of name hassle!)
I got a horrible fright yesterday morning when Rhys nearly rolled off the sofa  He was lying on his side, facing the back of the sofa and I thought he was asleep. I was still sat on the sofa but turned the other way when I caught sight of him out the corner of my eye - he'd rolled on to his back and over the other side and was heading for the floor, face downNever held him so tight and for so long!
We tried breastfeeding lying down the other night but I forgot to tell OH. The next morning, I was feeding Rhys lying down again, when OH woke up and came flying over to us cos he thought I was asleep and had left Rhys teetering on the edge of the sofa. Only after he'd shouted at me did he realise we were both awake and Rhys was sucking so hard even if his body had fallen off, his head would have stayed where it was!
Elle, we've had that exact same scare as they try to roll to their doom - I bet everyone has. The slightly reassuring thing is the number of people who've told me about their failures to catch baby, and how after 5 minutes of crying everything was fine...
And I've actually seen the 'head staying where it is while the body escapes' in action, it's highly amusing! (possibly less so for OH and the breast involved...)0 -
Elle, the 7lb thing might have been me, that was definitely a rule when millie was little but i think its different now, if you buy a 'proper' grobag (ie a grobag branded one) they have extra poppers for under the arm to make the arm holes smaller for little babies. They didn't have those when millie was little,MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740

Hola!!uhmmm oh we have thunderstorms here
Mrs Tine do you want to swap? It's boiling hot here and both me and DH love a good thunderstorm!
Well today was a drag, was at court for 9.15am, and when I eventually got seen at 2pm I was only in there for 10 minutes. All I can say was I am glad I didn't committ the offence as it was scary enough being cross examined on my eye witness statement!!
Daniel has had a couple of better night - 8.30pm - 6.00am (ish) so I feel normal again!
Off for a chinese buffett later - can't wait, mum and dad are watching Daniel for a few hours, they would have him over night, but they go away on Saturday so have lots to sort out.
Busy say planned for tommorrow though, need to get Daniel weighed, have to return a parcel at the PO, need to get the shopping am also going to try and fit in getting a current account opened for Daniel. Good job DH is off to help:TMummy to D born 21/04/09 and S born 09/05/120 -
grobags - just looked at mine and it says do not use for babies uner 10lbs on it (oops - I think LO was lighter than that when she first used it though I can't honestly remember!)
natural family planning - I used the persona 'machine' and sticks but the wrong way round. I used them to tell me when to try and conceive rather than when not to! Perhaps worth the money to work out if you have a very regular cycle - if you do then after a few months you could do without the 'machine' and just avoid those times you know you're most fertile?r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
I think I may be a good candidate for the natural method, we spent 9 months TCC for Darach and 2 months TCC for Cliodhna. During this time I could pinpoint when I ovulated without thermometers or machines, just going by my own body, im sure I could apply a similar technique to ensure I dont fall pregnant.0

MrsT - posted one parcel today. I weighed them meticulously and left 'extra' just incase. ALl I can say is that my kitchen scales are either way off (they don't appear to be when testing weights) or the post office are all out to scam us!!! will repack the second and send it tomorrow xr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0
