Oh well we managed to get to the Oxford sling meet and found a sling we both quite like - so we've rented it for a month to see how we get on.
DH is off at 3 to Plymouth - he's going sea fishing tomorrow (disgustingly early!) so Alexandra and I are on our own for the first time ever!
Other than that... uhmmm oh we have thunderstorms here... and ehhh.... no that's about it... :)

I suppose it's really a qu for a professonal but I think the options are basically natural FP, barrier (condom, cap, diaphragm, femidom - yes all still in use by someone apparently) or the snip/hysterectomy

    Sorry to butt in

MrsMoc - I am actually sensitive to hormones (didn't find out til after my 2nd breast reduction that it was them that was causing my boobs to carry on growing!) so can't use the pill, depo or implants unless I want gianormous boobs (and I mean MASSIVE)

OH and I used natural FP but not to a huge extent mainly withdrawal just after and before each period and then condoms in the middle of the month. Worked fine from May 2007 when I had implant removed until I got my BFP in January 2009.

Depends if you can trust your OH not to get too excited though Glam... We were supposed to be giving my body a break from the pill then starting ttc after our wedding... One slip up on Hubbys part and I was 7w pg when I walked down the aisle...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

We were supposed to be on a picnic according to the forecast. Instead I've just spent an hour making play food out of paper and crayons for a teddy bears picnic on the kitchen floor!
Too many children, too little time!!!

    Hello strangers!
How is everyone, congrats to the new mums, hugs to anyone who needs them.

I am fine, not been up to much, well we took the children out on monday, got ripped off by a zoo come safari park and ended up on brighton beach having lots of fun.

Ryan is a right little porker now, well he's not overly fat, he's just soooooooo long!
He is sleeping through, 10pm to 6am, but i think introducing solids has played a part in that, not that I'd tell the HV that he's on solids cos i'd probably be condemed

We are hopefully going to Scotland in 2 weeks, it was suppiosed to be this or next week but the money we are waiting on is taking it's time.

Ryan is rolling around the place now, it's so funny, he hasnt done it for weeks then today he keeps rolling from back to front then back again, he loves floor time.

AF still isnt here yet, and I have done a test and it was negative so i guess it's just taking a long time to come this time, I just hope it dont turn out like my first one after Ryan, i thought I was bleeding to death, and OMG the pain!

It's my birthday on Sunday, OH is taking me for a meal on friday night (or we might get a takeaway) then I'm having a mini party at mine on Saturday, got both kids all weekend though so cant really smash it  ooooh thats just reminded me, must ring my Aunty Mark and wish him a happy birthday, it's me sisters birthday tommorrow aswell.

Wheres Elle? Did I miss something? Has she gone somewhere? She last posted Tuesday night I think.....
Was she in Nottingham this week?

Sami - has she texted? Is everything okay?

I'm here :hello: Thanks for asking.. everything's fine, just been busy, that's all :) Nottingham app is next week, going on Wed night because app is 0945 on Thurs morning.

I got a horrible fright yesterday morning when Rhys nearly rolled off the sofa  He was lying on his side, facing the back of the sofa and I thought he was asleep. I was still sat on the sofa but turned the other way when I caught sight of him out the corner of my eye - he'd rolled on to his back and over the other side and was heading for the floor, face down :'( Never held him so tight and for so long!

So as well as keeping my eye on him at all times (or putting him in his crib for naps), I've been trying to encourage his movements with lots of floor and tummy time. Physios are coming tomorrow morning to apparently show me some exercises to do with him (a bit late, I think!). We went into work yesterday too and everyone was amazed by his head control. I think it's just cos he's so small they expect him to just curl up in a ball and do nothing except to lie there and grow! The crib has been a big hit - can put him down awake and he'll happily play for a while then fall asleep.

We tried breastfeeding lying down the other night but I forgot to tell OH. The next morning, I was feeding Rhys lying down again, when OH woke up and came flying over to us cos he thought I was asleep and had left Rhys teetering on the edge of the sofa. Only after he'd shouted at me did he realise we were both awake and Rhys was sucking so hard even if his body had fallen off, his head would have stayed where it was! :o

Builder is doing my head in - guy who's making the window is coming to "check the measurements" this afternoon, despite the builder telling me it was ordered on Tuesday obviously work hasn't started on it yet. Monday now, so he tells me. It'd better be in by Wednesday afternoon or else I'm not going to be happy to leave the house empty all night.

Post was interesting today - DLA forms arrived, the right ones this time; birth certificate is back from CB claim (I only sent it last Weds); got more Pampers vouchers; and vouchers for Tesco online just AFTER I'd done an online shop

So that's what I've been upto for the last few days.. Builder is here now, making the boarding more secure for the heavy rain we're expecting, and nurse is coming later :) I'm determined to straighten my hair tonight and put the hoover round as we'll probably be lying on the floor with the physio tomorrow morning and it's a state. Just need to find the hoover first.. :o

oh Tara, I've been meaning to ask how are things with DD1? did they say she'd need IVF?
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

She's injecting herself each day at the moment, then she's been told she can have one cycle free, although according to the news yesterday she should have been offered 3 cycles. It's difficult because I think she's too young to be trying but on the other hand I understand her need to see if she can have children.

Glad to hear all is well.

We have a big fleece blanket that we chuck on the floor as a rug for Benjamin to roll about on. It makes it much easier, especially if I [STRIKE]can't be ar5ed[/STRIKE] haven't had the time to hoover. Plus, if Benjamin decides to be sick or dribbles all over the place (like he is constantly doing at the moment) I can just stick it in the wash - no down on my hands and knees scrubbing ;):D
