MFD, will he sleep in his pram if it is suitable?

Or camp out in his room, I've done that before. Though usually DH will sleep on the sofa and sick child and I will have the bed.

And try not to worry, your mummy radar will let you know if he is sick. When DS1 was little I woke in the middle of the night, wide awake and alert, ran into his room just as he was starting to vomit, flat on his back!

Thanks guys - we go for a lazier style of parenting here in MFD towers ;)

To be honest, if he was really 'ill' with a fever or he was generally unwell I would sit up with him but he is mostly fine other than copious amounts of vomit!

Had a long chat with my mum who spent over 5 hours with him today and she thinks that the best thing for him is his own bed. As long as he gets some sleep that is the most important thing.

Do I sound like a complete and utter nutter if I say that I know that my baby isn't well because he doesn't smell right....?

Edit - he outgrew his pram at about 12 weeks - I have one very tall boy!!

Ah well 3 - takes one to know one ;):D

And obviously the hair thing is much more normal than the smell thing!!

I gave Benjamin a bath this morning because he didn't smell right...he had been chucking up all night! But even after that he still doesn't smell like my baby boy :o

I tried to tell hubbys family this at the party this afternoon and they looked at me like I was some kind of loon :rotfl:

Just back from Asda.. I have storage boxes, hurrah! :D

But, on a MSE note and my apparent mission to find Pampers Sensitive wipes as cheap as poss, Asda have 2 boxes of 12 packs of wipes for £18 - that's 1p per wipe :D Am sending OH back for some tomorrow.. They had lots but I couldn't be doing with wrestling two boxes into the trolley after my battle with the plastic crates! :o

Finally, off to make some tea! :D

I can't even remember the last time Benjamin pooped...

...but maybe my poorly baby is not the best advert!!

Seriously though - I went through this stage and worried about how infrequently he started pooping. It's normal. We went from 3 or 4 a day to one every 3 or 4 days (ish)

actually, he normally does 2 or 3 on his poopy-day but then nothing for 2 or 3 days!

On sick babies, Rhys doesn't "look right" when he's been sick. He goes really still and wide eyed like he's surprised himself (odd, with reflux, as it's kinda a frequent thing!).. Realised earlier he'd been lying on his change mat and been sick so it's made a puddle then he'd been turning his head so got it all in his hair. I only realised cos his hair went curly! :o

DS2 goes a bluey colour under his eyes and apparently I am the only one who can see it. I forgive DH because he has typical male blindness, but nursery staff can't see it, my mum can't, MIL can't (unless I point it out, but then she can see it if I point it out even when I'm just saying it so I can get away from her).

thanks MFD, I knew it was common for BF babies to not go often but I just assumed it would be gradual reduction not so sudden, he just seems so grumpy about it, oh well...

Are you express while he's not feeding as much/do you have a fair bit in the freezer? just to warn that when ever Chris was sicky ill he usually made up for it by eating tonnes for a couple of days once better
