Okay, I took this..
..as applying to me as I am the only one who is "only expressing".
Well Mrs Moc is only expressing too (albeit be it hopefully only temporarily) and I did specifically put her name before my reply...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Honestly, it was laziness on my part. I knew in the back of my mind "breast is best" and all that stuff, but I don't have an issue with formula, just washing up!In hindsight, it's not that bad..

I had to 'upgrade' baby's bottle teats to the 6m plus fast flow last week and have discovered that one of them doesn't fit the bottle lid properly - it's a bit mishapen. I have used the teat, so don't think I can't return to tesco (and have no reciept). Should I email TT about it? They are about £3.xx per pack of 2 so feeling a bit annoyed.
NB - I have only washed and steralise as directed in a steam electric steraliserr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

Didn't someone (really sorry, can't remember who) say that TT customer services were really good the other day? Probably worth a quick email..

So long as baby is getting fed does it really matter? I can see pros and cons to both and at the end of the day, you do what's right for you and your family, not what other folk think you should be doing.
And I have no qualms about telling folk to keep their noses out mu business afore I cut em orf wiv a rusty ol pair hedge trimmers*cah cha cha!*

I'm ok - upset but as Elle misunderstood what I'd written as meant for her and not Mrs Moc I'm calming downJust had a screaming baby session - that child is SO sensitive to my moods!!!
As for the BF and thrush etc - I'm ok - it was tough at the time but we're good now. Have been 95% BF since Alex was 6 weeks old - she only has the odd bottle when DH is doing her night feed... but as she's started sleeping through the night this week that might not be needed! :j:j
I'm so paranoid about thrush now though (which I guess isn't a bad thing!) because I know if I got it again I probably couldn't put myself through that again and go back to BFing... If it makes sense then I made it through because I frankly didn't know betterBut I couldn't have that pain again even without the stress and worry...
And to the general MIL conversation... Mine's off on one again *sigh* Thankfully she tends not to involve me too much in her games but it does get tiring on DH and in turn me... Shan't go into it here although you'd probably all have a bloody good laugh at the soap opera like story :rolleyes:DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

As for BF/FF - I think everyone knows that BFing is best for the baby, but if it's not the best thing for mum then the stress and worry in turn will probably be a heck of a lot worse for the baby than FFing! People do what they are comfy with and I have no problem with that - so long as they don't tell me how to feed my child I won't tell them how to feed theirs
What I object to is people trying to stop BFing mums from feeding their children in public places... It must be my bug bear because when last week we went to the local garden centre (It's HUGE btw) with the other mums we sat outside because it was the only place with room for us, but I also made a point of sitting so I could see everyone so the more "shy" mums could feed with their backs turned to the staring masses... I just stared back until those who obviously disapproved realised I wasn't going to stop (and approaching us would have been bad for their health)

I'm another one with a doorbell problem!
The previous owner built a brick built porch on the front, so we've got the original front door between the porch and the hall. We used to have a solid wooden front door on the porch with a knocker that was loud and could be heard in the house.
The wood door rotted so we replaced it last year with a UPVC one which is about 2/3rds glass to let more light into the hall. We've got a doorbell stuck on the door frame, but so many people just tap on the glass. However as the original door is so thick, you can't hear tapping on the glass when you're in the house. The milk lady always complains that we never answer the door and end up running up a massive bill, and the postman always cards us. I've told both to use the bell, but they never do.
I think I need a big neon sign outside pointing to the bell saying "can you please ring the sodding bell !!!!!!!!!!!" :rotfl:Here I go again on my own....0
