I take her out once a month, maybe buy her a pair of jeans or whatever, and we go for lunch and just have a girly chat, no-one else seems to bother with her, so it's nice and I think thats why she comes to me. I also let her babysit for me now and then, just if OH and I go to the cinema or something, I mean she is a naive, but she is very good with Keira, and I trust her a lot more than my mum to watch her for a few hours. Also means she gets a bit of money as my mum is a BIG FAT SCROOGE, says she has no money, but can afford about 4bottles of vodka a week (she isn't an alchy, she just likes to get drunk!)
Last time she was at my mums, I went to pick her up and I thought her and my other sister Ellie were upstairs watching stuart little - NO, watching CHUCKIE!!you don't have to need a drink 1st thing in the morning to be an alcoholic..
:eek:I've never watched chuckie it looks horrible and just reminds me of Jamie Bulgerpoor Ellie would be mentally scarred by that film! all I can say is thank god you're sensible

Im just popping on to let people know about a glitch on the boots website on pampers nappies, 2 big packs of pampers nappies for £7, I think these are normally about £8 -£9 in Tesco, not sure exactly though. I seen it on another site which says its only supposed to apply to the small packets but Boots have made a mistake, so get in quickly!!!

I'll be on later to catch up, im in the middle of de cluttering the house, something I didnt get a chance to do before Cliodhna was born. My nesting instinct has kicked in powerfully. Im on my third roll of bin liners :T
How are you? I was just thinking you've not been around much lately xslingmeet.co.uk says:Do any of the following describe you?-
You want to carry your baby while you carry on other activities
-
You want to buy a carrier but you're not quite sure which one
-
You have a carrier but have not had much luck getting a comfortable fit
-
You've never used a baby carrier but wouldn't mind trying
-
You are an experienced "baby wearer" and you would like to share your experience
Then come and meet us!
I'd say it's mums/mums to be (or dads) who use, are interested in, or have trouble with slings meeting up :-) (And I usually come home wanting a new sling, it's bloody addictive!)
Fabulous! thanks0 -

Elle I think someone gave your builder a heads up to come on her and read your rant about them:T. So just goes to show ranting does work sometimes!!!
Button really pleased your sis is ok.Everyone is entitled to their opinionEllie 25/12/070 -
Well maybe not, but she can go weeks without a drink but other weeks drinks loads. She doesn't look 40 that's for sure, seems to like the sunbeds a bit too much - Leather skin, she thinks she looks great though!
It was Keira I was more worried about, apparently Ellie gets to watch those films and the likes of Freddy Krugar all the time, Keira came home and kept saying the doll was in her cupboard. I was raging mad. My mum said "oh you watched things like that at her age, did you no harm" I actually remember being terrified of Freddy Krugar and having nightmares about him for years, still can't watch that film now.
Think we are going to take Keira out to the park and the nice Italian Ice cream parlour up the road *chocolate fudge ice cream mmmmmm* then I'm going to hit the charity bookstore, as I'm getting withdrawels from lack of reading!
Hope you have a good day folks, and hope you manage to grab some lunch elle!0 -

Well I'm well chuffed with my new change bag, ordered yesterday at 12:39 arrived this morning at 9:30 :T Although the stoopid courier seamed oblivious to the fact I have a door bell
and I poop myself whe I woke up to the sound on tapping on glass - I thought Chris had managed to get somewhere he shouldn't!!
By the time I came to my senses and got to the door they were just starting the engine but hung out of the window to say my parcel was behind my car  £80 worth of Radley left where anyone could have nicked it and no card through the door!!
The shop peeps also chucked in the box 2 aftershave sampes, 2 perfume samples and a clarins face wash sample  The bag is fab-you-less!!! the phone pocket comes out so you can use it as a case and inside there are 2 pockets that come out to be sort of make up bags - I'm in love with it, can't wait to show it off at boobie group
I've waved off Chris:j I hope he has fun and isn't too much work for my parents!
Elle - random Qu but I'm being nebby (hehe I stole your word) how often do you express now, do you still have to get up in the night?0 -
I've managed to find a sling meet next week in Oxford so going to trundle over there with Alex for that - they have a huge collection you can RENT!!! I'm loving the idea of renting a sling to try it out before buying it! I'll see if they can show me how to use mine but if not then I'll try a few and see if I can find one Alex likes too
(And they have Mei Tais or whatever they're called
)

I do it in the night if I wake up and do a night feed, but if OH does the night feed I don't force myself to wake up just to express, iyswim.
During the day it's probably every four-ish hours but depends how much I can peel Rhys off me without him grizzling. Usually manage five times a day, although it's supposed to be 6-8. I'm still taking the Domperidone but only three tablets a day when it's suggested you take nine and am still making enough to go in the freezer as well as feeding Rhys so I'm happy with that0 -
What is your total output elle?Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0
