Probably by the time you have picked another buggy :rotfl:
That why I'm such a fan of slings! It cuts down the yelling for us!Fritha would I be able to come along to the sling meet? I have been looking at slings and baby carriers and just cant secide which one is for me! Or is it just for mums who have a sling and need help with wearing it?
It's for anyone at all, as long as you have at least a vague interest in slings! :-) What kind of thing are you looking for?Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -

Am I going mad? What is this sophie giraffe you are talking of? I googled... found one on amazon... but it looked a little like a dog toy - just a basic rubber giraffe? (sorry if that offends anyone) ...mind you these are the same creatures that like to stare at their hands for 10 minutes like their stoned :rotfl:

In an ideal world something for both me and OH, I think at the moment my main use would be to have her 'on' me so I can get on with some stuff, I would use it in a rush if using public transport as when I have no access to car I have to get the bus and I can be waiting upto 90 mins if there is no buggy space. OH would use it for when we take the dogs out, means we can go on better walks minus the buggy. Not asking alot really am I? :rotfl:

Will you be going to the Warrington sling meet? Or are you giving up?

All that sounds easy enough! Basically there are four different types:
Pouches, but you'd need one each for you and dh unless you're a very similar size.
Ring slings, one shoulder carry, adjustable, baby can lie down when small or be upright when bigger.
Wrap, two shouldered carry (so better for bad backs) very versatile, really comfy imo, but a larger learning curve
mei tai, two shouldered carry more like a commercial carrier but comfier. It tends to be the one that dads like!
All the last three should fit your requirements and I have all three you can play with at the meet too :-)Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -

Yup - it is just a rubber giraffe but the reviews are fabulousI just want the 'it' toy to go with my designer son
:rotfl:
To be fair, I don't think I have bought Benjamin a single toy yet!!! All the toys I bought for my nephews over the years have been slowly migrating back to my house!! Although they have multiplied!!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Thanks for all the well wishes. She's fine thankfully. Me & my mum actually got to the hospital before the ambulance did, and we both burst into tears seeing her, as she was strapped to the spinal board with a neck brace and covered in blood etc. Lot worse than it actually is thankfully!
She had xrays, and nothing is broken, she has bruising from where the seatbelt was, and a big cut on her head as the radio apparently flew out and knocked her on the head, minor cuts and bruises elsewhere.
What happened was they were on a winding lane near a forest, and a deer jumped out, the boy (craig) swerved to miss it (and did) but he lost control of the car, it tipped on it's side and went down into an embankment, smashed into trees etc and the car is a write off, if anyone had been sitting in the back they'd of been seriously hurt. The doors were both jammed, so Craig kicked the window until it smashed (resulting in him with glass in his leg) they managed to get to the side of the road and no-one stopped, so they got to a womans house and used her phone.
The ambulance guy said if they hadn't been wearing their seatbelts it could of been ALOT worse.
Mrstine- You're right, it wasn't his fault, he wasn't speeding either otherwise it would of been worse, but my mum should be putting a stop to her going for drives with an 18yo through country roads etc. I'm sure it was only a week ago that an 18yo with two younger girls in the car crashed, him and 1 girl died.....always happens in Aberdeen. Not a week goes by that someone doesn't die in a RTA.0 -
Glad she is okay button.
FWIW - I don't think a 15 year old should be out driving around country lanes with anyone in the middle of the night.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Pleased she is ok Button xx
Bit of an sad morning here. I loved Bobby Robson so I'm upset at the news that he's passed away this morning. I'm pleased he got to see his benefit match at the weekend though as he looked like he was loving every minute of it.
Then we heard that the cousin of my sons friend passed away from cancer a couple of days ago. The boys played with him a few times in the street when he was visiting my nieghbour and he seemed like a lovely boy.
Cancer is cruelHere I go again on my own....0
