goodness me - you have all been in 'long time' relationsships! I met hubby 3 years and 2 months ago, got engaged 8 months later and married 11 months after that. Baby came along 14 months after that!

I feel like a marriage novice compared to you all :roftl:

Ok have seen this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Electric-Breastpump_W0QQitemZ190325014383QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Baby_Baby_Feeding_Breast_Pads_Pumps_LE?hash=item2c50413f6f&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A2122%7C293%3A2%7C294%3A50
Has anyone used the mini one? If the bottle doesn't fit the pump do you just express into the bottle attached and then pour it into the bottles you have?

  • Re the homemade jaffa cake I remember someone once trying to make one but they couldn't work out how to set the jelly without it soaking into the sponge? I think the solution involved cling film.

You make the jelly separately and then cut it to size ;)

I express into the medela bottle, tip into a bag for storage (I freeze it) then defrost and put it into a TT CTN bottle.

Edit - I had to buy a bigger bottle for my Medela swing though...the one that came with it only went up to 5oz and I express 6oz+ most nights!

 Have just realised tomorrow is the six year anniversary of our first date. We've been married just over 4 years and were going out for about 18 months before we got engaged. We got engaged a few days before Valentine's Day because once OH had decided he was going to propose he couldn't wait another six days.

Can anyone recommend a good electric breast pump? I know the medela ones are good but they're a bit out of my price range. Just been looking at reviews of the TT manual one and think maybe electric would be better :)

we use a few different ones on here - I have the medela and like it. However, when I was in boots yesterday they had loads of TT stuff half price - do they do an electric one? might be worth a look.

I had that problem. Especially after OH got it in the flame of the Trangia without noticing and shrank it.

OK - I met hubby beginning of May, he proposed on my birthday 1 and a half years later, 1 and a half years after that we got married a day after our 3rd meeting anniversary and Alexandra arrived on the 22nd of May a year after that!
And agewise... I'm 29 too - I'm in the middle mum group too I think :)
