I might catch up by the end of today  Didn't get a great deal done yesterday as mother visited, as well as a Sure Start rep who told me of all the groups I can't attend because I also have a toddler with me (apparently all the socials/support groups are "baby-focussed" - this includes breastfeeding support groups btw ), or toddler sessions I can't take DD along to because I have a baby (apparently this is to do with health and safety.) Anyway, now that is off my chest...

That's rubbish. I always took DD with me to breastfeeding sessions and DS along to toddler sessions when he was a baby. There should be parent reps at the Sure Start centre I'd complain and ask them what they're going to do. Which Sure Start is it? Providing your DD is under 5 then they should provide support for both of them at the same time and should not discriminate against you because you have a baby and a toddler. Sorry I'll get off my high horse now but I spent a few years as a parent rep and Vice Chair on the Sure Start board in my area I know how it's supposed to work!

Actually, Jo, I was thinking - what b*stards they are doing this on a Friday with no official announcement until later in the day by which time offices etc. will be closed so you all have to wait over the weekend before you can do anything. Utter b*stards....

I was thinking the same, this is awful practice.

I've been thinking about the 20 things from each room and I'm going to adapt it (because I know there aren't 20 things to fling from the utility room or the bathroom!). I have 7 rooms and two long hallways in my half a house. So my aim will be to throw 7x20 = 140 things in total.

    Cripes. I'd better start looking!

It is now chucking it down so I had to do a mad dash to bring my washing in. I've ironed everything that's dry so that's out of the way so I really need to think about getting packed at some point. I'm going to do a HHC in the LR though so if anyone fancies it HHC 11.15 - 11.45.

As someone who changed the system here write to the parents management board.. they have parents on the management team so get a letter done and tell them how they are discriminating against parents with more than 1 child etc, they are compounding the effects of PND in mothers who are unable to get out anywhere etc they are meant to be supporting etc.. And you will send complaints to governing bodies and OFSTED should the need not be addressed asap

Flying... erm.. i've had 3 nails replaced and decluttered some bickies!

Triker.. are you skiving off work today? tut tut

    Has anyone heard from toots?

I have. :D She says they're looking after her really well, although she's not been sleeping brilliantly. But, she's loving having nice naps during the day. :T:T
