No - no union..... Think it would need to be citizens advice I would contact......they are on my list to call when I get home x

Are you managing to get some of your calls done? I know you have to stay until your meeting at 3pm, so if you can't make the calls you want to in the office, take your lunchbreak and go out and make them. And let us know if there is anything we can do

That's rubbish. I always took DD with me to breastfeeding sessions and DS along to toddler sessions when he was a baby. There should be parent reps at the Sure Start centre I'd complain and ask them what they're going to do. Which Sure Start is it? Providing your DD is under 5 then they should provide support for both of them at the same time and should not discriminate against you because you have a baby and a toddler. Sorry I'll get off my high horse now but I spent a few years as a parent rep and Vice Chair on the Sure Start board in my area I know how it's supposed to work!

Thanks for that support  Apparently one week at the social there were "too many toddlers" which led to a ban on siblings over 1, so I was turned away from that one. And I was informed by the rep yesterday that you can only attend the breastfeeding ones with babies under a year old - I'd love to know what they would do if the baby I was actually feeding was over a year old. Apparently they are setting a social up for those with children 0-5 in Sept, but I just found it so frustrating to not be welcome at so many groups I had been interested in (well, my eldest DD wasn't anyway, which for some reason kinda cuts a bit iykwim?) If I wasn't moving to a different area (hopefully - house on market) I would seriously consider setting a group up myself.

Just having a break for lunch. I've still got quite a bit to do in the LR and I haven't started packing yet. The DR also needs looking at!

As someone who changed the system here write to the parents management board.. they have parents on the management team so get a letter done and tell them how they are discriminating against parents with more than 1 child etc, they are compounding the effects of PND in mothers who are unable to get out anywhere etc they are meant to be supporting etc.. And you will send complaints to governing bodies and OFSTED should the need not be addressed asap

Thanks Pigpen :) I think I will ring at some point and ask to speak to a couple of the groups' organisers to discuss it with them first - you never know, they might listen to my case. If not, I think you are right that a letter is probably in order. I must admit, your point about PND had crossed my mind too.
