Good luck for the interview Greenbee!
^^^ what she said!
There was an annoucement made this morning that they are legally bound not to say anything......once the legal process has been finalised later today they will be able to offer a full annoucement and advice on what happens next.
In the mean time I have cancelled DD's and Standing Orders to at least avoid bank charges.....
Ive rung the estate agents and told them I cant pay the rent.Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying

Thanks Jo!
Re the DDs/Standing orders - call all the companies you have them with and explain that you've had to cancel because of the current situation, that you'd like to talk to them about reducing your bill/making alternative arrangements until you know more. Hopefully they will be understanding (make it clear that you are already looking for alternative employment and putting your emergency plan into place... sound like you're in control even if you don't feel like it!)
And maybe use some of yout time in the office looking for better deals on things as a break from updating your CV.
ETA ... it's 10.02... they're late calling me!!!0 -
Valli, Sorry you didn't get the job hun, but i am truly loving your your optimistic out take on lifeThe throwing away 20 things from each room will be difficult. I can see I'm going to end up counting hairs in the plughole again....
Jo (((hugs))) as Greenbee said
get your CV up-to-date
get contact details for your referees that won't require you contacting them at work just-in-case
contact those to whom you owe payments, tell them who you work for and that you haven't been paid
tell the bank that you have/want to suspended all payments too
Greenbee hope you do VERY well!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Actually, Jo, I was thinking - what b*stards they are doing this on a Friday with no official announcement until later in the day by which time offices etc. will be closed so you all have to wait over the weekend before you can do anything. Utter b*stards....I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Feeling really rough today, had a bit of a late night. I was about to go to bed as I was feeling shattered yesterday at 10pm when DH called to say he'd crashed the car and could I go and pick him up in the truck. He's ok which is the main thing and the other lady involved is ok and her vehicle only had minor damage on the back bumper. Our car is completely wrecked and will probably be written off. DH was behind this woman as they came up to a junction and he thought she would carry on as he thought there was space for them both to get out into the traffic but she didn't carry on and stopped, and he went into the back of her. The bumper is hanging off, the headlights are completely smashed, the bonnet is all crumpled and rumpled.
I picked up another JW who lives near us, he was kind enough to come with me in the truck to help us, and we went to get DH and towed the car home. The lady was very nice, she'd calmed down by the time we got there! She said that DH was gentlemanly enough to apologise and then she had to apologise for what she'd said before he apologised!
He's alright and she's alright and that's the main thing.
Don't think I'm going to do much flying today as am absolutely worn out this morning and have a mahoosive headache. Am waiting for Mr T to deliver my shopping, need to wash up and do some washing as DH says he is running out of t-shirts.
Hugs Neveah and Holly
Hugs Jo, that’s really bad news. I really hope it all gets sorted out and that you get paid – Soappie’s advice seems really good to me, I would definitely ring the bank asap and ask for an emergency OD and then do all the other things she mentions
Sorry about the job Valli
Congratulations Tooch on your exam result
Hugs Triker
Big hugs Natty, hope DH surprised you last night and took you to get the Tamiflu without grumbling
MOAM hope LO’s op goes well today
Julie, resting when you are ill will mean you are better sooner, don’t push yourself to do things if you are poorly
PenPen, I’m so jealous of you going to York, I love it there
Lady Liberty hope your day goes well, where is DS’ uni house?
Chunky glad your OH noticed the house looks so nice, it’s lovely when they notice your hard work
Serena, glad they’ve paid you the money you were owed, that’s a relief for you
Dolly glad that your OH managed to go for his interview yesterday, that’s good, hope he gets the job
Greenbee, hope the interview goes well and you get the job
Sorry for such a long, non-flying post, I will try to do something if I feel up to it. Spose I'd better ring the insurers..."Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

I might catch up by the end of today  Didn't get a great deal done yesterday as mother visited, as well as a Sure Start rep who told me of all the groups I can't attend because I also have a toddler with me (apparently all the socials/support groups are "baby-focussed" - this includes breastfeeding support groups btw ), or toddler sessions I can't take DD along to because I have a baby (apparently this is to do with health and safety.) Anyway, now that is off my chest...

RoseP - hugs for you and your DH for the car crash. As you say, the main thing is no one was hurt.
Have started sorting things to throw from the kitchen. Fortunately, the recycling basket is just about full so there's bound to be 20 things there to put in the binI am the leading lady in the movie of my life
