Morning!:hello: I was going to the allotment early, but it's raining - we've even had thunder, but it is supposed to clear later. Oh, great, now it's pouring down...I may very well have to hem those curtains today. Or even tackle Friday's list. I shall also make the boys do their room.:D
Jo - huge hugs. I agree with soappie.
Moam- hugs for you and DS. Thinking of you both today.
Hugs to all the poorlies - rosepink, Triker, Natty, julie and anyone else I've missed.
chunky - mostly, secondary teachers don't get gifts, unless they've done something particularly special for a pupil (or it's a special occasion, I did get wedding presents from my form years ago!) I was very thrilled to get a thank you card from one Year 7 pupil this year.
(This is very tactless I know, but they've actually managed to pay me all my back pay this month, after getting it wrong since April. So, huge weight off my mind, and as soon as the passports come, I can book a gite for a week)It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

morning everyone,
not read through the thread yet, so hugs to anyone that needs them,
luckily DH managed to get in contact with someone else from work(it was her day off) and she went into work for a couple of hours so that he could go to his interview - fingers crossed!:D
remembered to get my smoke alarm betteries yesterday so they are now in and all are working fine!!!
today we are off to the childrens centre for a teddy bears picnic, so that will pass a few hours on..... and it's free:money: and tomorrow it is the carnival and the only cost there will be for parking!
before we go out today i am going to spray the oven out and then i can wipe it over when i get back, might clean it up a bit but will need a good few more times before it is sparkling!!!:o
can i have a star pleasesoappie
off to go and read the thrread now!0 -
Jo - huge hugs. You know we'll all support you. Get your CV sorted, and if you want any help with it, let me know as I've done mine (with some help... it's brilliant now - I hardly recognise) and all my team's recently. And I can keep my eye out for jobs for you while i'm looking too. Good advice from soappie & chunky, so make the most of the facilities in the office (PC, phone, internet access) and get networking. Let me know if you want to talk (((hugs)))
soappie - I may have the same problem as you... unless I distribute the contents of the study waste-paper basket around the house before cleaning up!
Parents are off to see my little brother and look at wedding and honeymoon pictures this morning. Hopefully the rain will have stopped by the time the get back this afternoon, and they'll be able to do some work in the garden
My interview is at 10am, then I need to make a start on this cake... and also try to find someone who can provide an online training service for me as one of the businesses has committed to setting up a learning centre, but their solution won't work on our IT systems  and the grand opening is in a couple of weeks!
Off to re-read the job description... and my CV... and my application form!0 -
Good luck for the interview Greenbee!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Good luck for the interview Greenbee!
Thanks!
Re. the clothing clearout... should I get rid of all the stuff that's too big now, even though some of the alternatives are still a bit tight, or should I hang on for a week or two?
I was weighed again at the gym this morning, and I haven't lost anymore weight, but even I can tell that my shape is changing, so I've been measured (bust, arms, waist, hips, thighs) and we're going to keep track of that as well as weight from now on.0 -
Greenbee, I'd wait a week or two!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
