Julie, resting when you are ill will mean you are better sooner, don’t push yourself to do things if you are poorly

I know rosepink but I can rest down the caravan and I wanted to get stuff done before I went away.

    Morning all

Luckily no washing today because it's been chucking it down with rain.

It was nice first thing though and I cut back the bushes alongside the front path that were trying to take over the world. Shouldn't get sued by the postman now ;)

I don't think I can do today's list. I've been here on my own all week so I haven't made much mess and there's not really anything to catch up on. Never mind.

Sorry about the job Valli, and the employers Jo, and well done toochoosey.

Actually, Jo, I was thinking - what b*stards they are doing this on a Friday with no official announcement until later in the day by which time offices etc. will be closed so you all have to wait over the weekend before you can do anything. Utter b*stards....

I know. they have just told us that an annoucement will be made at 3pm.

Im compiling a list of numbers I need to call when I get home. I ended up in tears earlier when I spoke to the estate agents, so I will until I get home before I call anyone else.

    Will work on my CV.

For those who dont mind having a look at it for me, can you PM me your email addresses please?

Thanks for all your help and support. xx

Thanks for all the good wishes. The interview went well - salary isn't great, but it wouldn't be a pay cut. It might be less when all the benefits are taken into account, BUT the job sounds perfect, I'd get to travel, improve my languages, use my brain (might need to exercise it first to get it used to the idea :p) and tell everyone why I'm right and they're wrong. There's also a fast-track career plan for this role, so it should mean promotion in a couple of years.

So I now have another telephone interview with the line manager on (provisionally) Tuesday (he's US based... boss in another country sounds good to me too!).

If that goes well, there are another two stages after that... so I should know by then whether I'm on redundancy notice or not. I need to cross my fingers and hope that they decide to try to pay me off and don't want me to work my notice period.

Tooch - congrats on the exam results.

Soappie - I will separate the only-just-too-big stuff and hopefully throw it out in a couple of weeks (I was hoping that would help me towards my 20 items per room - I might have to go with your method, so I'll go with 140 in total too!)

Jo - will PM you. Remember, you've got LOTS of support and expertise here. We'll help you get through this and hopefully we can find you the perfect job!
