LOL I'm CONFUSED.COM
My booking was for 5 people including a 2 year old. I booked 4 baggage.......realised later on that probably need another baggage adding, so went back online and booked another @ £18
Originally 4 luggage = 100KG allowed
Now 5 Luggage = 100KG still???
sooooooo!!! if we had stuck with 4 baggage.....we'd be allowed 25kg per bag? now only allowed 20kg....
Not complaing cos i'm sure wewont use over 20kg per bag,just all very confusing

Each BAG can weight up to 32kg
Each person has a baggage allowance up to 20kg
You always pick the lowest allowance
Hence:
1 Person (20kg), 1 Bag (32kg) -> 20kg allowance
2 People (2x20kg), 1 Bag(32kg) -> 32kg allowance (in one bag)
2 People (2x20kg), 2 Bags (2x32kg) -> 2x20kg allowance (two bags, max 20kg)
5 People (5x20kg), 4 Bags (4x32kg) -> 4x25kg allowance (four bags, max 25kg each) (e.g. you are limited by the weight allowance)
5 People (5x20kg), 5 Bags (4x32kg) -> 5x20kg allowance (four bags, max 25kg each) (e.g. you are limited by the weight allowance)
Hope it helps...

1) Calculate the luggage allowance for all your party - 5x20kg = 100kg
2) Calculate the luggage allowance for all the bags - 5x32kg = 160kg
Then whichever is the lower is the allowance is your total allowance
In fact you could have saved money by having only 3 bags which would have given you 96kg between the 5 of you (lowest weight again) and lost the remaining 4kg somewhere in your joint hand luggage0 -
Hello,
I agree with the above - last April my wife and I flew with one checked bag (40kg allowance, but bag weighed around 25Kg, no problemo).
But we're going away shortly and the terms seem to have changed as our booking says '1 checked bag ... total weight 20kg', and the EJ website says
"Passengers on the same booking who have **each** paid the fee for an item of baggage may aggregate their weight allowances and distribute the weight allowances across their combined hold baggage. This is subject to a maximum acceptable weight for each single piece of checked-in hold baggage of 32kg. Baggage which exceeds this weight will not be accepted for carriage."
(my **)
Think I'll email EJ and check0
