I am still bemused as to why you have come on here asking for advice.0

This is comedy gold!
You don't want to pay tax and illegally watch copyright material but wish to be a policeman!?
Have you considered applying for the BBC whilst dodging the TV licence?!
Best of luck to you Angel!! I'm glad you've got all the answers - you're sure going to need them!

Didn't you used to have the user name Spanish898?
I remember this because you had the same attitude then......along with an alcohol problem IIRC.
/forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1641159
(which then leads to another user name beta89!)
Might I suggest that you take note of replies given in these threads or would you rather change user names and try yet again hoping for a different response?

What we may have is a very frightened young man who is in debt, struggling to live within their means and will easily be tipped into homelessness again, one who feels they are currently being bullied out of their job, one who seems a strong candidate for a HMRC investigation into non-payment of tax and one whose future career choice is impossible if they end up with bankruptcy or have a CCJ against them.
Yes, it clear that they come across as immature and arrogant, clinging to a lifestyle aspiration their salary cannot support and not receptive to the advice given, but deepdown, I don't think the OP is actually feeling as confident and smug as the impression they are giving.
The veneer of denial and defiance is just that and will get punctured by the reality of a situation that their own decisions and choices have led them to.0 -
thanks for the link tiddlywinks.
It does show Angel / Spanish / etc has given up:
a cleaner and contact lenses - woo hoo!0 -
Oh dear Op - looks like you've been busted!
Well I can see things didn't go as well for you as you hoped with your new job.
Did your expectations exceed the reality there again? You appear to be on £18k from what you said in this thread.
NiiiiiceYes your correct, i personally dont give a **** about moralistic side of things when it comes to money or personal gain. :rotfl::A
So I take it that you didn't pay your debts off then? Incidentally, how did you manage to get that £7k worth of debt when apparently you were doing so well spread betting on the oil markets and evading the tax man? :think:And so yes, i only have 1 life and so i make sure i enjoy it as much as i can and get the best out of what i can in it,
and so im not going to change my entire and live a mundane low budget existence just to help out some company who doesnt give a toss about me! :rotfl:
Oh and something else....you've said over and over again that you were earning very good money at the spread betting....yet in the threads below you appear to be enquiring about Housing Benefits. I can't imagine that someone earning such good money would be entitled to benefits....that is if that income was declared..
How long can housing benefits service take / Can they reject if you meet criteria??!
How often are discretionary housing payments given to applicants??
So let's just summarise this issue for everyone's benefit:- You make money by importing/selling on Ebay and by spreadbetting on the oil markets. You earn, by your own statements, a 'high income' and you declare none of it to the tax man.
- You then move into a brand new studio flat either a) squirrel your income in off-shore accounts (mentioned earlier in this thread) or b) pi$$ it up the wall and proceed to claim JSA and Housing Benefits and post on MSE as Beta89 complaining about the level of HB you'd receive and the delays in receiving it.
- You appear again as Spanish898 seeking help for ridding yourself of £7k debt and telling people that 'northern' and 'rural' types don't understand why you simply have to have £1,900 a year budgeted for alcohol
- You appear again here as Angel89 crowing about your financial successes, your tax evasion, your illegal downloading (thankfully you left out the benefit fraud) and again expecting advice on how to live the champagne lifestyle on your lemonade earnings.
“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”

He cut the food and booze a bit, but still Sky is an essential...
Why don't you get a proper aerial installed - it will be cheaper in long run than sky! Or, if you intend using your computer for movies, why don't you watch TV on your computer and get rid of TV completely?
Clippers for your hair were a brilliant suggestion - no more hairdresser's expenses.
Instead of booze, get a glass of water! If you can't go without booze for a day, maybe you should seek some help?
You do have some cheek aspiring to work in police force while breaking the law in your everyday life!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
I know I said it before, but was completely ignored so I will come at it from a different angle. Maybe you will listen this time... I know that you probably won't...
You do realise how tough the police applications process is, and how oversubscribed it is? Kent police for example were taking written applications October 2008 (about 20 pages of application form, financial check, work references etc), applicants who passed the first stage were informed in February. First stage interviews will be held after April 2010.
Basically, you have to be the cream of the crop and very dedicated, in addition to having a flawless record and passing all the role play/Maths/English/fitness tests. From your attitude I just don't know how you think you will pass.
The starting salary of a PC, which everyone starts on, is currently 21k - not far off the 18k which you seem to think is so low. Maybe you need to rethink your life goals - and not just your rent.0 -
I get the feeling this Angel character is laughing his socks off behind a computer screen. Seriously, I don't think anyone could really be this stupid!0
