 Its all a bit heavy on this board this evening..... !
I can say with absolute certainty that I have never wet the bed, well not since I was a tiny tot anyway...:p But I know that alcohol makes me bolder, makes me ramble and can make me intolerant.. I also know that I drink because i'm bored and I drink when socialising.. although I am always the one making sure everyone gets home in one piece.. Alcohol gives me confidence (false confidence I know..) but does allow me to do things I wouldn't do sober.. like go out after dark, unless i'm driving somewhere I know and don't have to walk in the dark..
Is the bed wetting an embarrasing male symptom of drinking..? I haven't seen any of the ladies come forward yet?????? My OH hasn't wet the bed but has been known to confuse the cupboard door with the bathroom door...enough said I think....

I was just lurking (not AF I have to say tonight) but I wondered that too. I have heard and read about men wetting the bed but never women. I certainly have never done it even when I have drunk a lot. Maybe it is to do with the prostate with men? Anyway good on you guys being so honest on here I am not shocked, just interested really as I have never heard of that happening to a woman.
Hmm anyway, I'm guessing that I will only make it 8 days for this month but I will check back tomorrow.HOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

No bed wetting here  But I'm not shocked by it because I remember my mum saying my dad had done it. In the end, it was a cousin of mone that continually took away soiled sheets from his flat to clean them. She's obviously a better soul than I because I don't think there is any adult that I would do that for. It's hard enough when my 4 year old wets the bed!
I won't be AF today. My friend gave me a bottle of wine today for helping out with her cat while she was on holiday. It's chilling in the fridge, I don't have to drive tomorrow morning so will have a glass or two.
I was AF last night thoughSo I think I've reached my target
But instead I ate 4 bags of crisps and a toffee crisp. I'm not sure that a glass of wine wouldn't have been better
:rotfl:
Off to watch The Home Show on CH4 + 1. Will pop in before bed.

Don't apologise mate. We are here because it helps .... all of us.
If it helps you by telling us, that's great. If it helps someone else by putting their 'habit' in perspective too, then even better :T:T:T:T
best wishes

Evening all!
Geranium72 - welcome! Friendly (if slightly batty:rotfl:) bunch here
Debtmonkey - as the others have said, don't apologise. This is the best place to offload whats on your mind. And you can guarantee others on here have thought the same things at some point.
BHB - Glad to hear Mrs BHB cracked the whip and made you commit to a target. You'll reach it no problem I'm sure (especially with me nagging!) Good to hear Mrs BHB is getting closer to her brother - its nice to see something good coming out of a bad situation.
Mmmmm.....bedwetting. Can quite honestly say I've never done it so maybe it IS a male thing? Not pleasant and surely a warning bell? I guess its hard to recognise it as such at the time though.
Well, I'm off bathwards once more with a good book ("Dear Fatty" by Dawn French ...its excellent) and a cup of coffee. Have good evenings everyone!

I love the honesty on this thread. People feeling good, people struggling, etc - a broad spectrum of the human condition.
It seems that issues with alcohol have no respect for age, sex, where we live, job, etc
Totally indiscriminate.0 -

That's me, off to bed. Just the two glasses of wine so not overboard but obviously not AF.
Watched my programme and flicked between "How the other half live" I cried, needless to say! Watched a bit of Big Brother.....what drivel. Can't believe I actually followed it years ago. Maybe it was good then?
Hope you are all okay.

Evening everybody :hello:
Another AFD for me please Jo - so 23 now.
I've just spent two hours putting up a blind in DD2's bedroom, only for the mechanism to break when I had put it up  And it's the second one I've tried, so I will be looking for another solution. Can't even take this one back to the large Swedish store I bought it from cos I've had it sitting here for about a year until I got around to trying to put it up
