Thank you GC and I do get this, BUT how do I ignore the first thought if my brain is screaming at me telling me it's okay to do it? Don't forget the angel is gagged in the cupboard!!!
That comes with practice. I found I have to prioritise my sobriety - maintenance of it is of paramount importance. Without it, I could lose jobs, kids, friends, home, etc.
If I don't put it before everything, then nothing else is secure.
Most street drinkers had normal lives, then after some years, they end up homeless, destitute, and hooked on alcohol.
If anyone thinks that it could not happen to them, then ask a street drinker if they thought it could happen.0 -

Hi everybody :hello:
BUDGIE: Poor you and DH. There are some evil people out there. Mr PIR was very tempted by one of those franchising schemes when he lost his job - I had to dissuade him very strongly, he had several meetings with the sharks. As for the Job Centre, they should have control over who advertises with them - this is a government department and should be run completely professionally and transparently.
JO: Thanks for asking, I'm OK. Very, very busy week last week. DD2 finally starting to feel better, so hopefully she'll be back at school on Tuesday (they have a day off tomorrow). Well done you on your AF-ness, you are being very strong.
GC: thanks as always for your words of wisdom. I wish I could completely give up wine, but the bells are just too loud on Saturdays. I even had wine on Friday this week - which I very rarely do nowadays - but after the stresses of last week, I just had to give in to the bells. Won't do that again for a long time.
Another AFD for me, please, YM, so 11 now.
Have a good week everybody. It's week 2 for me in the new job
