Just thought I'd drop a quick thanks to this thread in general. It's helped me stay focused over the past few days and keep the 100 day AF goal in sight. I realise it's STILL quite early days, but the fact I've finally plucked up the courage to START the 100 day thing (and put my money where my mouth is by announcing it on the forum) seemed like the biggest hurdle.
I've not really craved a beer that badly to be honest, but on the odd time when it's crossed my mind one of the things that has persuaded me not to is the thought of having to come on here and say "Sorry guys, I failed".
Coming down from the peaks after a 8 hours of cycling in saturdays lovely sunshine was a bit of a trial...all those lovely, quiet, rural pubs saying 'come on, you deserve a half....' Argh
So, thanks all round. I realise I don't actually give that much back to the forum in terms of useful advice these days so I thought I should at least let you all know how grateful I am for the support that the forum brings.0 -
I've had a couple of angry rants at work today. My previous post was a caring / sharing post, in an effort to restore the cosmic karmic balance of the universe0

thanks Jo,
GP well done! I find the weekends are the hardest to get over cos hubby likes a saturday night in with a beer and doesn't like to drink alone.
100 days AF is quite a challenge - don't think I am quite ready to join you but good luck, you are doing great.

Enjoyed it sober - goodness me, the ad breaks drag on when you're not dashing off to refill your glass!
They seem to have a format of keeping the best til last - the guy at the end was the best, but wasn't hugely impressed.
The Scottish contingent were dreadful

Hello!!
Not much going on here. Dragged DD screaming and kicking three times to bed until she settled down. I woud loved to have a drink after that episode but didn't go into the shop after work so it is no 14 for me YM please. I am finally working on my spreadsheets and that is a real motivator as it doesn't look good, there simply isn't any money left for a bottle here and there.
Carrying on spreadsheet busting, byeeee...."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
