Am on 14 YM and 28 days in a row. Must watch out for complacently setting in; I told somebody yesterday that I was finding abstention a piece of cake. Pride comes before a fall, methinks.
Just heard Keith Floyd died yesterday. There was a tv prog about him on last night where he was interviewed recently by Keith Allen and due to the grog he looked about 85 rather than 65.

Morning All!
8/20 for me please YM - another AF day for me yesterday.
What really helped was talking to Marthasmum about it last night - I'm due to be made redundant in November and, while we should be OK (I was cunning and took out some income protection insurance earlier this year), we'll need to be a bit careful and I was proud to be able to say that I'm doing my bit by not drinking in the week - she's doing it too (she doesn't drink much since having DD and DS anyway, but at least she's going to support me).
Also, my money saved is totting up nicely - think I'm going to keep it going, not just month by month, but a rolling total - that way, I reckon I'll have saved getting on for £250 by Christmas - giving us a bit more for DD and DS (plus some for the savings) (much better than P!!?ing it all away now isn't it)!?:D
Hope you're all well....?:p

Not posted since last week.
Far too much Tuesday, Wednesday (England game) and Thursday, only 3 pints Friday and one Saturday.
Dry Sunday.
Only 6 bottles last night - but the very small "stubbies" so much less than it looks.
Planning to stay dry 3 of the next 4 days.Like all revolutions, guerrilla goodness begins slowly, with a single act. Let it be yours.

hello all,
have managed to stay AF for two nights but only because I didn't have any money. An unexpected payment arrived today so tonight is going to be so difficult, but I've bought some AF beers which hopefully will stop me going to Tesco to get wine.
Everyone else seems to be doing really well, even those who are having a drink are not going mad, I hope some of that discipline rubs off on me.

I did come on here ealier and composed the most wonderful post, only to be nearly 'caught in the act' at work, so had to abandon
I read the Daily Mail at lunch and couldn't help being really sad reading about Keith Floyd. It's his children I feel really sorry for. They didn't have a fatherI didn't watch the documentary last night and couldn't possibly sit through it now. Too sad.
I wasn't AF last night dispite good intentions. Getting a bit peed off with myself actually. I think the drinking is adding to my frustrations with life in general. I feel angry all the time. Not good!
40sm~where are you? :A
Much love XNeed to start again0 -
I have really noticed the difference at the till! Every time I pay I think, blimey, that's another £20 in the savings pot for holiday! Plus there's not all that clinking going on, and wandering around with your trolley, hoping that you dont bump into anyone you know that might peer in and judge you!Sick and tired of waking up sick and tired...
