Hi Guys,
Hope everyone is ok today?
Firstly Dear Lurky hugs matey and I do truly hope that things will be ok for you? I have my fingers crossed and I am thinking of you. (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
But on the job front I have my own tale to tell now and I feel soooooooo strongly over this that I am jumping up and down, literally. (I do hope I am wrong about this but I doubt it).
Mr BB has applied for a job that was posted on the job centre plus website for an ????? in our area. Requirements are must have spraying experience etc. So I ran off a cover letter along with his C.V and posted it off.
On Friday evening a guy called from this company informing Mr BB that after looking at his C.V that he seems ideal and this guy wants to come and meet him on Monday evening after work to discuss everything with him and to see if he is suitable?
Firstly I thought how odd that he wants to travel all this way, why not just ask him to go down for an interview, why waste his time coming up and why just to see Mr BB. Before sending off the application I looked on their website etc which seemed ok. After this phone call I googled around a liitle and found out that they sell franchises offering all the things that were listed in the supposed job advert. (Their website does not advertise this fact).
So now I am thinking this guy wants to come upto try and sell Mr BB a franchise.
I feel appalled that this sort of thing can go on, but what other explanation is there, I mean there are so many people in ???? out of work, if it were genuine why would they visit my Dh only?
My feathers are so ruffled.
On a brighter note hugs to you all, Darling Jo I am the voice of the devil :eek: Heavens get that Angel out of the cupboard and degagged straight away. Angie glad you enjoyed your birthday hun, my DS Top Gear cake has arrived intact. Hi and welcome to MOS, good luck sweetheart. Bhb all that wood chopping has made me tired just thinking about it. (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
So guys I am off to catch up properly now, any feedback on the above would be appreciated.
Happy Sunny Sunday to you all (()) xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
A ruffled Budgie B. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

wish I had the room......
On the plus side we have home reared leg of lamb for tea(sorry 115K ), the wood burner is roaring, producing free hot water and a lovely atmosphere, and though Mrs BHB is yet to don an apron;), I think there is apple crumble for pudding ...of course the apples are from about 100 feet away
And we still don't have enough room

OMG!
Budgie, I can't really offer any feedback other than to agree than it is outrageous! Can it be reported back to the job centre?@ LBM = £15,872.65, now £10,819.82AF Jan = 7/? Feb = 5/14 Mar = 14/20 Apr = 6/14 May = 2/14 June 2/14 July 0/TF Aug 1/TFv Sept 6/TF Oct 4/7"NEVER DOUBT YOUR OWN QUALITY"0 -

Thanks HoneyI need to have it confirmed for sure, but yes it needs exposing if
this is the case. I mean they have all your info off your C.V and you are identified as this work appeals to you. But really on a job centre plus website
Thank goodness I found this out, I mean if Mr BB had met him with out knowing this, well
He's just getting himself back on track now.
Oh I am not violent at all but if this is found to be the case then I could happily swing for this guy. But don't worry I always fight my corner and I shall expose these people.
There are lots of people in our area out of work who are vunerable and it hurts me to think that this is going on.
Oh I feel so very mad
Hugs Honey and thankyou :A xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxCherish the ones you love and travel back on the road that brings you home

Good point! Surely the [STRIKE]Joke Shop[/STRIKE] Job Centre should be able to do something. They shouldn't advertise stuff like that, surely? False advertising or summat, isn't it?Neigh, neigh, and thrice neigh

I'm not surprised you're mad - I'm pretty mad & I'm only reading about it through your posts!
If it is the set-up that you suspect (& I agree it sounds suss) then it is disgustingly underhand & preying on people when they're vulnerable.
But deep breaths, honey - worse case scenario is now that you've discovered it, Mr BB is not about to be suckered in to some dodgy franchise malarkey, & you can report it to the relevant people.
Naturally I don't advocate violence either but...

Hi guys,
Just one more thing the Job Centre have previously told Mr BB that they have no control over the jobs posted and the employers directly post them themselves.
I mean it is criminal, so everyone please beware just what is going on.
It dosesn't give you alot of faith in people does it?
I hope I am wrong but it seems a long shot ...........

Really? That's appalling! Local papers etc I could understand but I thought the Job Centre would have a greater depth of responsibility - wow, am I naive?!@ LBM = £15,872.65, now £10,819.82AF Jan = 7/?
