Caz, I would take comfort from that dream and leave it at that. Those kind of dreams are positive things to hold on to. when my dad died I was really worried the night before the funeral and had trouble sleeping as I was going to do one of the readings. So I was lying in bed fully awake when I felt this amazing "wave" of calm/peace (that's the only way of describing it - it was a physical thing) - and I thought - that's great, that's my dad telling me not to worry about anything. And I went straight to sleep and was absolutely fine doing my reading. He was a drinker which probably contributed to his demise and it has given me a lot to think about in terms of my own drinking, which is why I am now in here with you amazing guys.

It is  but I feel kinda comforted, just in general :)

ETA: Totally off topic () but has anyone had experience of seeing a medium?

My mothers a medium and my 'spritual (god) parent' is a medium.

Not something I'd ever tried myself - would see it as being akin to someone rummaging through your knicker drawer - freaks me out - dunno why. Rather stick needles in my eyes.

Not that I don't think its useful for some folks.:D

Morning all - from a windy Shetland - had to find a PC to charge my phone  so popped into local library learning link up here with free (FREE) internet access - Martin would be proud - passed several 'internet cafes' and sought out a 'free place' :)

Works done all bar getting back on the plane - feels a bit dodgy 3 hours work for 2 days pay.

However, gust of wind BLEW and I mean BLEW my iphone out my hand and has smashed the bottom of the screen :eek: was gettting it out of pocket to answer it pah pah pah

Pah need to get it fixed.

Just had a drive to bits of the island I hadn't been before and Shetland is HUGE.

YM - another one for me - bells going like crazy with me - glad they aren't clanging for you Jo :)

Waves to all - away for a catch up
PS Muse tickets came - am SO excited :)
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

    Hi all,

People are doing so well on here, it is great to see.

Can't say I am at the moment and I don't know why really, I am going for an AF tonight though as I am away with friends for the weekend and I have already planned to have a few drinks with them over the course of the weekend.

I will let you know in the morning how I get on, ( I am embarrassed to admit, finding this very, very hard :o)

I don't think people who don't have this 'problem' can comprehend just how hard it actually is. We understand though, so stick with us :D

Just popping in to say well done to so many people who've been alcohol free - it's going really well at the moment isn't it - really inspiring.

I would like ot think that there are ghosts and higher powers and something more than just our earthly existence but unfortuantely I just can't believe it all - too sceptical I'm afraid. Perhaps the genuine is just drowned out by the fakers so I just disbelieve all of it.

  • Another AF for me last night - That's 6/20 for me please YM

Really proud of myself last night cos the footie was on and I ALWAYS have a drink when the footie's on, but not last night.

Going for a world record tonight - 4 AFs in a row for the first time in years! Should be OK though as I've got a resident's group meeting and it'll be very sober!!?

    Well done everyone!

Wow !! thats fantastic...well done. The savings are growing too.

I have added mine `quietly` into my signature....hopefully no-one will notice but it helps me keep focus. I reckon a bottle of cheap 3.99 wine a day is about what I am saving.

So on day 10 of September here....just (very slightly just) beginning to feel a bit less groggy in the morning.

    Have a good day everyone.
