    Morning there everyone.

Was AF yesterday so that is now 4 for me please YM

Had no wine in house and DH was prowling around last night for a little glass of red which didn't help my bells too much.
But we ate quite late so then I could just have a cup of tea and a relatively early night so I feel great today.
Doing the shopping today and I will buy a couple of bottles of wine for DH as he only ever has a glass, two maximum, with dinner and hasn't the same problem as me.

Have a nice day, even if the weather is bad.
    Trying to keep in budget.

Maman - lucky you, off to provence. I've heard its lovely. Hope you have a fantastic time!

Fay - glad you got through the wobbly bit. Must admit to half reading the marian keyes book a while ago but it just annoyed me for some reason so I never finished it. Perhaps I ought to dig it back out and have another bash just so I know what you're all talking about!!:rotfl:OH and I too love the winter...early nights with hot drinks and a book, curled up on the sofa listening to the weather outside. Bliss.

Budgie - you are sounding slightly more like yourself. Lots of ((hugs))

Sam - well done on the 7 days - keep it going!

PIR - As everyone else has said, don't get despondant. It takes a while to settle in to a new job. Hope it seems a bit better today.

    6 for me please YM!

I'm definately aiming to stay AF this week, right through to the weekend. Will have a bottle of wine saturday I think but will try to be restrained! We are painting the weekend (delayed from the other weekend) so will be looking forward to collapsing on the sofa saturday evening with a glass of wine and a book! Think OH has finally noticed my sneaky masterplan.....I infiltrated the kitchen with some pink striped and polka dot mugs yesterday and he's just noticed various other pink things appeared without him seeing!!! Ahh, he's a big bloke...am sure he can drink out of a pink mug without looking daft!:rotfl::rotfl:

    Have good mornings all!!

Good morning peeps :hello: Hope everyone is feeling good today. I am still finding I am waking up feeling groggy despite getting plenty of hours in - also having more than usual vivid dreams! i hope this wears off soon. I want to wake up feeling full of beans:j Anyone watching this week's Come dine with me? I love Nigel's commentary - sarky so and so!

YM - pls put me down for 7 AFD

    Have a good day everyone.

When I get back from holiday I plan to take up my 'urban walking' again. That's 30mins a day of nosing in people's gardens and at their choice of curtains etc.

I do that! I especially like it in the winter when you walk past people's houses and they are in their living rooms watching TV at night with their curtains completely open. It fascinates me that they don't get at all paranoid that anyone could look in at them! I always have the curtains drawn at night. I have seen too many horror films I think.:D

I probably won't be AF today.

Lots of people are doing very well this month though.:A

  • Another bonkers day for me during my last week at work, trying to get things in order so I don't leave massive chaos behind and I don't want to leave my colleagues in the doo doo. (Don't care about the bosses, but I DO care about my colleagues!! ;))

YM another AFD for me yesterday, so that makes 6/27 please. Today will be my 7th and I plan to be AF again. In fact I plan on staying AF for the rest of September now. I need to stop making excuses for myself, because I know deep down that I CAN DO THIS!

It's my leaving meal with work tonight. Going the pub for an hour, then to the restaurant at 6pm. I'd have preferred not to do the pub, but the restaurant doesn't open until 6pm so there's nowhere else to go. HOWEVER I will have a J20 and lemonade and I'll drink water with the meal. I prefer water with food anyway - I've never really liked drinking alcohol with food (probably because that's the "proper" way to drink it, ha haaaaaaa!)

I didn't want to go to my AA meeting last night. I felt dog tired after working my bum off all day and I got settled after dinner reading the "No Big Deal" book that I ordered on Jo's recommendation. Am enjoying it immensely. I can feel my resolve and understanding strengthening, the more I read, actually. :D

I did go to the meeting. I changed my mind because there was a bit in the book about when people slack off going to meetings, even though going to meetings is one of the main things that keeps you sober. The book listed a ton of reasons the author had used, to avoid going to a meeting when he didn't feel like it. And you guessed it, they were EXACTLY the same as mine!!

So I went to the meeting and I loved it, just like always. I had a great time, learned something new and was glad I went.

Oops, been ages writing this post! Am off now, but will pop on later.

    Hugs and love to all.
