  • Oooooh, that was a close one!

We almost went to Sainsbugs for some more green garden rubbish bags, but I persuaded my OH we could get them in the morning instead.

Going to a supermarket at this time (bells bells bells) on this beautiful Bank Holiday Saturday may well have spelled disaster. I really don't think I could have skipped past the voddy aisle without flinging some in my trolley.

But we're not going, so that's ensured me an AF evening, which is good good good news! :D:D:D

Hope you all enjoy this evening and this weekend. My OH is intending to usurp the pooter later for a mega on line poker session (pretend money of course) so I doubt I'll get back on.

    Hugs,
    Caz

That was a good bit of persuasion there, Caz! ;)

I'm currently doing lots of random displacement activity pottering in my flat to distract me from how much I want wine... :o And I'm struggling... :(

    Hello again :hello:

Yes I am back from Dear Ole London Town. it is such an hectic place I am totally pooped. Had my curry in Brick Lane with lots of rice (long story). Went on the London eye, saw BB (Big Ben). Houses of parliament, St Pauls etc. Hyde park, went to Harrods and then Hamleys  you just couldn't move in Hamleys. Went to Canary Wharf had a chinese meal for three it was £125 (but we had champagne). I have come away quite worried as my Ds is doing so well but it seems he is now leading an expensive lifestyle, it worries me as his mother.

I just hope he keeps his feet on the ground and doesn't get carried away with it all.

So I have skimmed the posts briefly but I will go back and read again. I have been doing crap, drinking everynight whilst I was away. I feel so fedup and low with it all. So I have decided to not drink tonight and to try and get back to being alot fitter and healthier. I have just go to get back on track again.

So to our adorable Miss P and Piglet I will now be on 17 af days please. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog, it is very very sad. Also I sympathise with the problems you have with your inlaws, I too had the same issues and I used to get so fed up and angry. Then two years ago my mil died and I suddenly thought to myself what a waste of all that time and energy as now she was gone. My Ds was not treated the same as the other grandchildren and at aged 14 he told my husbands parents that he felt second class to the other grandchildren. It made no difference as they did not change, sad really as if my Grandson had of said that to me I would of tried to have made ammends. My Ds stood at her graveside and said that he felt sad as everyone else was upset and he did not feel this, he was sorry she had died but he felt no loss at her passing. I have since come to the conclusion that they did not get on with my Ds as he would not be controlled, he was brought up to have his own opinions and to say what he felt was right. That in itself did not go down very well. So what I am really trying to say is please don't let it come between you and your OH, I know how frustrating it all is and I had the same issues when my Ds was not treated the same as well. Try and rise above it, one thing though me Ds has told me that because of how they were with him it has made him determined to do well. So in the end it has been their loss and so it will be too when Dear Piglet reaches his own conclusions too. Big hugs Angel and lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Now my Darling Jo, I AM SO WORRIED ABOUT YOU. I really don't know what to say  You have to beat this illness by whatever means it takes? Can I please ask has your Oh noticed that you are still drinking? Have you both talked about this since you told him a few weeks ago? If you haven't then he really needs to face this problem along with you, if it means that he has all the money and you don't have any or bank cards etc. If you don't have the money to buy alcohol then you won't be able to drink it? I really really hope that he helps you, as you so need help at the moment. I am sitting here tearing out my hair trying to think what is the answer for you  But you have said yourself what the conclusion will be if you carry on as you are. You have a lovely family who all need you and I want you to find the inner strength that I know you have. Think back to when you DD1 was born and how you coped with that traumatic time. The answer has to partly lie with your OH and he has the ability to help you. Lay it on the line with him and hit him with the cold hard facts, he needs to understand how serious this is. We all love you on here and we all want you to beat this, I am sending you a very big hug and all of my love Angel. God bless Jo xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ok I shall be back for part two soon but I have got myself in a bit of a tizzy.

Off to do post two, gotta feeling its going to be a long one;)

  • :hello:waves to all...

Welcome back Budgie, glad you had a good time in London.. wot's the story with the rice????

Jo, sending you a hug.. don't have lots of advice as i'm rather rubbish myself at keeping to my target (as GC will agree..!), but I wish you well and hope you find other things to do tonight to keep you busy....!!!!

GC your quite correct in most of what you say, most if not all of us are addicted to alcohol and some/all of us need to break this habit... I do think we probably come under different catagories depending on what/and how much we drink.. but at the end of the day we are ALL in the same boat for trying to break the addiction/habit and i'm rowing with the best of them.. well I will be come September...!!

I'm a fussy drinker, I will only drink nice wine, occasional spirits (usually on hols) and never beer. This makes me no better and no worse than the next person, i'm addicted to the habit of drinking, when I don't drink I enjoy the benefits, when I do drink I enjoy the taste, I don't fall over, forget who I am or where I have been, or what I have said.. (although others mights as i have a habit of rambling as well...:rotfl:). I certainly don't want to give up drinking, I just want to stop drinking on my own in the evenings, I'm lonely/bored etc... no excuses.. So roll on September, I promise I will hit every target I set from now until Christmas...

Hugs to those who want/need one.
