Budge, so glad to have you back. It's funny as living in London, the places you visited we see quite regularly so don't bat an eyelid at it....it's weird when somebody actually WANTS to visit ;)

Make sure you follow this up, especially mention that you are a new online customer and you've not enjoyed the first experience, I would personally put it in writing to the head office. You should get a bit of compensation, probably only a couple of quid, but every little helps ;)

    xx

    Hi Jo,

I have finally got through to Asda on my third attempt, I got cut off etc. They have been having technical problems. I spoke to a nice lady who has given me £10 off my next shop, the delivery guy has just rang me too and says he will knock £5 off my order too.

So thats something but customer services have said that they should have rang to let me know they were running late. I know I want to lose weight but really

Just put on Booze Britain too.

    Take care hun xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

OMG look at this, I would be so happy to receive this as a gift from someone, it's not about expense, so much thought and effort has gone in to it

I'm looking forward to seeing how drunk the 20 guys are going to be at the end.....not good for them but makes me feel normal

I can't believe they've had dentist chairs where minimally clothed barmaids pour alcohol into peoples mouths for £1.50?? My local must be really boring :rotfl:

Unbelieveable, the drunk bloke at the end said he goes out every weekend and takes out £140, he was wrecked but had just got to a nightclub and only had £18 left......methinks he needs to be introduced to MSE :D

FUAS - just found the christmas Eve Hamper thread. Think my Christmas budget has just been ramped up by about £30 ! Now dying to do one for Piglet!!

Actually thinking of doing a hamper for my Mum. Can't think of one big thing to give her so think I will do a hamper of lots of little bits. Loads of fun too. Did a hamper for Dads birthday last year and apparently he loved it!

Jo - I feel for you. I can imagine how hard it is. Its one thing someone telling you that you have to stop, its another thing to actually DO it. I know when I was getting married I had to lose about 5 pounds to get in my wedding dress. Do you think I could do it?! "Luckily" i had a stomach bug the week before. You would think my wedding would be enough of an incentive?? No. This is what addictions are like. They rule our lives. We just have to fight to take some of that control back.

Budgie - So good to have you back. Glad you had a lovely time with DS. I imagine he was over the moon to see his Mum, and of course he wanted to treat you!

OH has taken piglet to bed (late night tonight for one reason and another). Mum and Dad had Piglet this evening whilst OH and I went for a toby carvery. I had a soda and lime and really enjoyed my meal (avoided roast potato's and had PILES of veg. Couldn't resist the yorkshire puds though:o). Had a nice day and feeling mellow (WITHOUT alcohol!!) Hope everyone has had good days?

    Miss P

P.s so cute, tonight Piglet went out the front door and was waving goodnight to "Mr Moon". Now THATS why you become a parent!:T

  • Hello again :hello:

I have come away quite worried as my Ds is doing so well but it seems he is now leading an expensive lifestyle, it worries me as his mother.

    Welcome back BB,

So glad to hear you had a great time in London. Just wanted to say, try not to worry too much about your son - the times you shared together in London were no doubt as special for him as they were for you - and expensive meals out with champagne might not be an everyday thing for him, he may just have wanted to treat his lovely parents as his way of showing his appreciation of you.

When I was living in London and my folks came to visit I pulled out all the stops to impress them as I wanted them to be proud of me and also by "splashing out" it was my way of thanking them for helping me through uni.

Once you're working and you've got a bit of money coming in, it's such a joy to be able to treat your parents.

So glad you all had such a good time.

    xx
