Sounds like you've not had the best of times.... don't worry, I'm back now:A :rotfl:
You've jogged my memory, I do remember now, in my defence, when you don't read for half a day there's about 20 pages to catch up on....only got so much room in the ole brain to keep info in innit
Good luck for Sept to you and Esther, I'm going for 30 too....bring it on!!!!!

OH and I went for a toby carvery.
Oh that's a lovely idea for your mum, I think I might nick that idea and do one for mine, I'm fed up with buying her the same old things, slippers, pajamas and White Linen perfume!! Thanks for the tip!
Aww to lil piglet
I'm taking my mum for a Toby carvery on Monday with OH and the kids and DD1 boyf, it was her birthday whilst we were away so I missed being around. I shall be driving so no fear of the alcohol for meDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
I have just read through the thread and there are a few sad posts there.:( I have to say though I have a lot of people in my family that are alcoholics but all of them are such lovely, very intelligent, witty and funny people but they do seem to be fixated with alcohol, as am I.
I still think that people on here are still doing such a good thing by looking at their drinking and trying to cut down because drinking is seen as such a "respectable" addiction.
I am still proud of my achievements and I think people on here are doing very well. At least people are setting targets even if they don't meet them all the time.:T

Same here!! For my Mum its usually Rive Gauche and a necklace! She must be sick of it!:rotfl:This year its gonna be a pamper basket....books, marzipan fruits, choccie, bath bombs etc. Shouldn't be too expensive and I think she'll love it.
OH LOVES Toby's. He's one of those that builds his plate up like a work of art!:rotfl:

Hi everyone,
Crapola week. Family members bickering (the 60+ brigade, surely old/wise enough to know better??) work stressful. Trying to resist the old "solution" to life's ills and make do with coffee (and lots of chocolate).
Jo - September is going to be your month, I can feel it in me...well, suffice to say I'm feeling good about this one! You've obviously had enough and feel ready for a big change. It's perfect timing too - September always seems to have that 'back to school'/fresh start feel -however old we get!
Fedupski - man, you're organised! I will pay you to do/make my Christmas shopping this year!!
Winebox - you're a wonderful, very intelligent and funny lady - any man should think himself bloomin' lucky to have you. Just hope OH is appreciating you. It worries me, some of the things you've said over the last few months. Just want to see you getting the best, m'dear, as that is what you deserve for sure.
Miss P - you're my inspiration right now - so please keep on keeping on with the AF-ness.
Hugs to everyone else.
