Hi Guys...can I join your thread please ??

Have read loads on here today & it is truly inspirational how you all support each other so firstly would like to say you are all stars:T:T:T

Having had issues in the past I am finding myself increasingly drawn to the wine again. I have a lot of stress in my life right now (that I am dealing with slowly) & I drink to make those bad thoughts go away...it works on those lonely evenings, but then I feel ashamed of myself in the morning when I see an empty bottle & know that my situation is still the same & that bottle cost me £5 that I can ill afford !! On top of that there is the health & weight issues too.

I feel I may need a bit of help but have decided to save all the money I would have spent on the demon drink...I suspect I will have my `fall off the wagon` days but I really need to do this.

So today is my DAY ONE !! :j:j & my first fiver is going into that pot.

Thanks YM & Honeybear....I`m not a big drinker but when I have one drink I have to carry on...if that makes sense. I have decided I have to stop altogether...its the only way & worked for me when I stopped smoking.

Btw...whats with the tuppaware avatar YM....have you taken up cookery??:D

Snowy, have a great holiday, I'm really jealous and I only came back from holiday last Saturday!

It didn't :undecided thanks RA for your post as well :A

Had a row with OH and the rest was history, self sabotage etc etc (GC feel free to quote ), getting sick of bleating on here. Had fleeting thoughts of lying to you lot this morning to save face at least with you and not have to explain myself, but, what's the point

I need a plan, counsellor talked to me about this yesterday, said I need something new to fill the time cos evenings are so long. OH just bought himself a new bike, his old one is in the shed, gonna have a look to see if it's ridable (sp?) then I might give it a go  I dunno, I need something to help change me otherwise I shall be dead soon after a possible long drawn out illness (this is not said in jest but the truth), why can't that be enough to spur me on  Bis, GC, Eselt, RA, please tell me why....

    Gotta go, feel sad :(

    xx

Sorry to hear your troubles...have you tried walking?...I`ve just started to get out in the countryside & enjoy the fresh air & scenery...it is quite astounding the difference it makes....myself & another mse`r have started walking in the peak district & did 7 miles this week... felt so good afterwards...I think that why I am starting to get control of other bits of my life as well.

Walking is free too....bikes are ok but omg the saddles are a killer:eek::eek: !!

Oh god, didn't think about that

Walking is a good idea, got some woods at the back of the house, wouldn't fancy it in the dark though

Right, going to find something productive to do. Need to repaint the kitchen and bathroom as I don't like the colours at all but doubt I'll have time today, think I'll take the kids to the park instead :D

    Thanks :)
