GC - Knew I could rely on you to remind me what an idiot I am :o I really do have no stopping mechanism it seems when it comes to wine. Luckily, Ive sort of realised that running to the bottle when someone annoys me isn't the answer. Last night I went to bed early to avoid argument with OH, and it worked. Today we are fine. I've always had the tendency to fly off the handle - guess I have to learn when to NOT combine that with drink.

I know what you mean Miss P, this is one of the main reasons me and partner have just split up, i was sooooo mean to him, I am embarrassed to even think about it. at my age I should know better and I am hoping I do now, it is going to be a hard struggle I know, but I will come out of it the other side a much better person for it I think

    Good luck to you

Hello, I've been long time lurker and browser on the site and have finally registered so I hope I can join you all here for and alcohol free September.

I have always had some problems with alcohol which I won't go into now and I worry about the long term damage I could be doing. Also I could do with losing weight. So I think having a less alcoholic spetember could be a good start.
Can I set myself the goal of 25 days without alcohol?
    Thanks.
    Trying to keep in budget.

Did anyone else hear on the news today about people drinking much more than usual whilst on hols (no !!!!!!, Sherlock....) & seemingly thousands have pledged to have an af September.

Yup, I heard about it too. Made me feel less guilty about my own dismal attempts at AFDs during holidays in August.

Not surprised going to sleep straight away after that much wine!! That's a weekly safe limit in one night!!

:o:o:o I didn't think that was that bad. It was over about 6 hours and with dinner. I feel fine now though.:D

I'm not sure if I will be AF today or not. I want a couple more days AF for this month though at least.
