    Hello all,

Firstly YM please put me down for 18 days AF for September. Well last night was day 4 AF in a row. Finally slept quite well and foot (gout!) much much better! Taken just 3 of my new tablets from Docs & continuing with herbals/concentrated cherry juice (stopped cats claw tablets as is not compatible with new meds)..will stop drug meds in a day or so-rather stick herbal!

    Have a good day all!

    Morning all

Well it was an AF evening for me last night. Did as I thought I would do...had a bath and went and hid under my duvet by 9pm! OH said I was asleep by quarter past. Sleeping has always been my reaction to stress or upset.

Feel brighter today. Piglet got me up early so am going to turn the computer off soon and get on with some housework.

On a really positive note....I lost 5lbs this week!!!:j:j Am so pleased with that as I did drink a bit this week and that usually slows down my weightloss. Mind you, this is the first week (when I usually lose a lot) so next week probably won't be so good. I'll be more than happy if I can manage 2lbs a week though.

115k - well done on resisting the wine!

GG - well, thats certainly enough to put you off drinking isn't it. That phrase comes to mind...."There but for the grace of god go I". (Not that I'm religous but you know what I mean!)

Well, I'm going to try and find the off switch on this machine. I usually have trouble locating it ;))

    Miss P
    xx

    Morning everyone!

I'm delighted to report that I was AF last night, I slept really well and I feel so good this morning compared to yesterday when I had a raging hangover. Very pleased with myself :D

So that's 16 AF days out of 18 (I went to my first AA meeting on 10th August, so I didn't start trying to be AF until then). To qualify that, today's actually my 18th day, so it's not technically AF yet until I get to bed tonight without boozing!

I did have a bit of a shocked smirk reading Glasgow Girl's post about that man on the bus who'd s**t himself. I've never actually got as far as pooing myself (sorry for those of you who are eating breakfast!) but I do confess to once (and only once) a few years ago, getting so utterly paraletic that I did wee the bed in my passed out state  I woke up in the morning and wondered why the mattress was wet and I was wet - it took me ages to figure it out, ha haaaaaaa :rotfl: :rotfl:Yes, I know that's very bad, but I can laugh about it now.

My brother on the other hand, who is a heavy drinker, says he did actually s**t the bed once! OMG. He's 28 and a professional jazz drummer. I do worry that his lifestyle will never change because of the "muso" types he hangs around with and the drinking culture of gigging/being a musician, however I'm 8 years older than him and it's taken me until I'm 36 to realise that I have a problem with alcohol, so I can't talk really!

Anyway, glad to post positive news this morning and am going to get stuck into the day ahead and see how much work I can get done. So I will TRY not to log on as often as I did yesterday!

    Hugs and love to all.
