  • I would knock back 3 or 4 wines whilst waiting in the airport bar but I'm not sure that thats going to be such a good idea as we take off at 6.30am!!

I was the one propping up the airport bar at 5a m drinking double G&T's.

Given myself a slap - I am aiming for however many days there are in Sept ?

30 - ? put me down for that many. I am sick of my whining.

I can never remember that rhyme - back from the field looking like a bedraggled seamonster again - its a good look for me :D wet feet, half wet trousers (forgot wellies) and also bits of twigs in my very deshevelled ponytail.

Away back out into the fray - and I think 40 is the new - 20 (I hope) which makes you 50 somethings the new 30 somethings.:D

    Goodluck chaps - x

RecA - was thinking going to the GP anyhow. Not sure what they can or WILL give me. Have to have something tho as already winding OH up with my anxiety over the flight.

The option to have a bottle of wine in the room before going to board is soooo tempting but I know it will just P*ss my OH off so much that I want to try avoid it. We are desperate for this relaxed holiday this year. Not been away for 3 years - had 2 family bereavments this year, an un-insured labrador who has cancer costing £2.5k in treatment and then I had a disc removed in June, which didnt heel properly and ended up as a hospital infection. I just CANT WAIT to lie in the sun and think of...........Ummm....x:j

Think is when it comes to flying, it's not the need for alcohol (tho I used it as an excuse) but the fear of flying!

    Whats your cure?

    Hi Gromit,
I too am a terrible flyer...literally to the point of not sleeping the week before, nightmares etc and I cry like a baby every time I actually step on the goddamn things......Always drink bucketloads before I fly....but last time we flew I went to the docs and he prescribed me diazepam (think im allowed to say that on here???)It really does help and I even managed to fly back from Amsterdam at 6 in the morning with no alcohol :D
Just pop and see doc anyway he may give you that or something else

Also ive just done 2 AFD on the row which im quite happy about.....not mind up my mind about tonight yet  Would be nice to do 3 in a row but the bells are clanging!
Feel loads better for it though...still only makes 4 for this month.Ho Hum
    Stroppy xx
