  • Ahh The Smiths. I loved them and still do. I was born in 1972, so I grew up with 70's and 80's music. Best ever IMHO.

"I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour
But heaven knows i'm miserable now"

LOVE that song. Marvellous. My friend and I are going to see Morrissey actually, in November. I can't wait, I'm very excited about it! :j

And I STILL feel like getting happy in a drunken haze myself tonight............. oohhh Gooorrrrrdddd. Not good.

    Well f*ck me sideways,

Erm.....if it's all the same to you......
Managed to stay AF last night, very very difficult though. Had a huge row with OH which has continued this morning resulting in her telling me she won't be there when i get home and i'm not to text or phone her.

Ouch. Hope it gets resolved. Incedible feat to stay af in those circs. Good luck.

I'm doing utter crap, fed up with saying it really.

Welcome to my world. Is why I didn't post yesterday I always seem to be bleating on. Like one of bhb's sheep! (tho I don't suppose they drink).

I was off work sick yesterday - got a cough that sounds like I'm on the Capstan Full Strength (why have I gone italic?) & decided it needed some "lubrication". :o Went to the doctors (before I had a drink ) who said it's not a chest infection so nothing to be done (tho I'm glad not to have yet more antibiotics!!). DD has a double ear infection (I fibbed a bit when I said it was great holiday!!). We've not been to the docs for 2 years & suddenly he got both of us.

I'd heard that the usual doctor was away & the locum was there. The locum is lovely (he rang me at home one evening to check we were OK as we hadn't been to the surgery for so long!) so I'd decided to talk to him about my drinking, but when I got there it was the "proper" doctor who I find very very difficult to talk to, my drinking has come up before, a few months after my husband died & he was very scornful, has the "just pull yourself together" attitude.

So, I didn't say anything in the end. Now I've gone back upright & changed colour!

Who knows what today will bring?! I haven't actually gone out & bought any wine since back off hols, there's still stuff in the house. Tesco delivered yesterday with 2 bottles (on offer :o) but I sent them back :T.
Should've given them the rest of my wine rack at the same time!!

Oh dear, now I'm having a whinge.

Hi to marthasdad! Last time I gave blood I got a little badge with 50 on it! This is because I am Very Old. I wore it on my birthday last week.....:D

Oh great - I've just posted that I was born in 59 (spect you worked it out!) & you lot are behind my back being young.
Just shows, there's no fool like an old fool......

Reckon you might be right - for me it's having the kids and realising I REALLY want to be in good health throughout the rest of my 30s and into my 40s so I can enjoy them growing up (and keep up with them!!?):j

DOH!!!!!! I wish they'd move the SPAM button AWAY from the REPLY button!! You would not believe how many times I've clicked on that little sucker!!

Anyway...back to what I WAS going to say. I was born in 73 so some of us are pretty close in age. Do you think we hit our mid thirties and suddenly realise we're getting old!?!:rotfl:
