    Evening all :D

I will say it quickly ....... I have had a bottle of wine tonight.

Feeling insecure at work . Boss is talking about getting someone extra in ( I don't think we need it yet ) ..... I worry that this will mean I have less work..... I am always like this and it has not happened so far in 7 yrs but:confused:

    Love to you all

    Sweet Dreams

ETA Also have to see Doctor tomorrow about DS1 autism thingy so I don't hold out much hope for tomorrow as I find this very stressful . I fully understand why Miss P needed a drink after the speech therapist.

    :hello:

Did anyone see the Benefit Busters programme on Ch4 tonight. I just watched it and the blonde who was drinking (and denied it) really made me think. She looked a wreck and the trainer kept saying how much she smelled of booze. Certainly got me thinking.

Loved the dishwasher story eselt and it's great to see you around again. fay, I was thinking the empties in the fridge were ex's until I realised OMG how embarassing.

Beachb, I am so pleased about your test results. Still lots of good reasons for cutting back tho'.

geranium, sorry to hear about the SW disaster. Although I need to I've never joined a club like that ('cos I always thought I'd have to eat different food from OH and not be motivated) but isn't it fairly normal to plateau sometimes? I certainly know that empty wine calories don't help me!!!

YM what's with the gruesome new avatar. Bring back Lal-la!!!

BHB, I've heard some great excuses for drinking (most of them on here :rotfl:) but the one about a sewage pump is a load of carp!

jo, glad you're popping in from your hols, was there no shopping opportunity today? Anyway all AF days count whether enforced or otherwise.

:T Well done everyone on an AF Thursday!!

    9AF please Miss P.
  • Hi everybody

YM: I agree with Maman - what on earth is that Avvie? Scary or what?

Decorating starting to drive me crazy - I had to have two snickers-type bars tonight ... at least it didn't drive me to the old pinot g ...

    Night night xx

    10 Alcohol Free Nights.

bad....quite drunk actually. But I did cycle 7 miles to stockport with 60 metres of rope on my back, climbed for a couple of hours, and then cycled back?

  • Morning
Happy to report I've remained AF for the last 4 nights. Makes me 8/14.
Amazing what a good book can do.

40sm - FB is just trouble for me, I love playing scrabble and chatting with my old school mates, and Bejeweled oh dear, I may have to start counting bejeweled free days ! I really live on the edge these days.

..Snowy, I did laugh about your stash in the shed. But we've all been there. My trick was to have a quick sherry or G&T in between so that OH thought I was sticking to just the one bottle.
Yeah, plus it's a great excuse as to why there's booze on your breath. Of course there is - you've been drinking openly, didn't they see? Anyway, I donated the remaining scotch in the shed to the bindweed behind it. Hope it chokes :D. Bloody difficult to do, I have to be honest, but I felt a lot better for it though.

I'm going to Tesco in a moment - not only cos it's relatively quiet at 7.00 a.m., but you physically can't buy booze before 9.00. Makes that side of shopping a lot easier to deal with.
