Hi all, am still feeling rubbish, if not even more rubbish, so will just nip in to say obviously another af day yesterday so 11 now Jo..

Miss P well done on stepping up for August and offering to count units too  I can totally see how it can be 'must finish this bottle of wine tonight so that I can be af tomorrow' instead of trying to moderate drinking and consuming it over 2-3 days...

I have not decided yet on my af days as at the moment I am seriously considering going for abstinence, but I may be thinking it as I feel so ill and the thought of drinking at the moment is just yuk...

right off back to bed kids have just gone to nursery and neighbour is watching ds for me...

    ta ta for now xxx

Didn't get on here last night, too tired for my usual nocturnal surf. Miss P, I will be definitely setting a target for August but I do understand about how people feel.

I've needed strength at times to stay with the thread as a cutter-down but I find I use it as as an extension to my conscience. It helps me to keep focused if I know I will have to 'fess on here. There is also (usually) such great encouragement on the thread. I do think about alcohol a lot but often it's about how good I feel the morning after. Previously I didn't think alcohol all day but that's because I'd just shut my conscience up and opened a bottle automatically every night at 6 p.m.

Hoping for an AF night tonight so I'll be 'target met' but I won't be drinking the rest of the month away!!

Thinking of you PIR with interview and 69chick I'm glad your neighbour is able to help out. I think we might see a lot more of that as the swine flu sweeps the nation.

I was the same Maman - 6pm open the wine EVERY night while I start cooking dinner ;)

Those days are gone, but that doesn't mean we can't open the wine at 6pm SOME nights. Cutting down needs applauding too I think :T:T

It certainly does - for those that can cut down that is great. Some people (like me) need abstinence.
