God, don't you just hate it when that happens :rotfl:
Well it was funny really (probably only to me!), DS said in Tescos (very loudly) when walking past the queue of people queing (sp??) for lottery tickets, "mum, you know when you buy tickets for the lottery...it's a waste of money isn't it, because you always lose!!" "yes" I said, "that's very true".
Got to my local shop and had to stop off for something and I said I'd buy a ticket as it might be a double fate huh?? He said he wanted one and then DD2 piped up and said she wanted one too. I bought 3 tickets and asked which line they wanted. DS said he wanted line 1 then changed his mind to line 3 (you should never change your instincts!) DD2 wanted line 2 so I went with line 1. Line 1 won a tenner :money: told you it was my turn tonight
Haven't told the kids, I'll say we were unlucky again, just to help put them off gambling in the futureand I'll get summat nice for Sunday dinner tomorrow

Just called in to catch up.
Budgie, I have been worrying about your for weeks and now begin to understand what the problems are. I'm no expert on depression but I think that it might be worth talking to GP about how you are feeling as well as Mr BB. I wish there was something I could do but please know we're thinking of you. You are so kind and caring of all of us and now it's your turn.:A0 -

Well
I wasn't going to go out last night. I had been invited out by a big group of old friends but declined at the last minute. I was a bit scared, to be honest ,of not coping with the peer pressure and having a drink (maybe i'm not quite as free as i think yet).
However, i got a phone call off another mate who wasn't going on this big bash, and he said he was going to see a local band and was i up for it. I made excuses about not drinking and picked him up on the way.
The upshot of it all is that i had a great night, didn't drink, didnt crave, I wasn't pressurised ( i think my mate has sussed what going on i've known him that long!!) and because I was the taxi my mate bought my three cokes and I didn't spend any money!
To sum up last night
Sober
Proud of me little self
And another £10 off the virgin nasty card!
I think i'm going to spend the day patting myself on the back.
Sorry to boast but I feel great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still having them
Half a bottle of wine last night Miss P. 36 of my 125 units gone so far. Blimey they are disappearing quickly, even though I'm not drinking as much
My parents over for lunch today .... that will be fun..... NOT
They are about as judgemental and unsubtle as anyone could be . Lets hope they manage to keep their gobs shut today ..... :rotfl:.
Lets just say their idea of what a home and garden should be and ours are somewhat far apart. Some of you have seen pictures of our garden, but they expect rose beds and borders kept to kew garden standard and a tidy clean house .... evn with our little one with ASD and 4 dogs and various farm animals running in and out :rotfl:
We must be such a disappointment :rotfl:
At least we have a joint of beef. That will be a change to ....what ever I can find at the bottom of the garden or in the field :rotfl: (We don't keep cows ........yet).
Best Wishes for the day
Andy

Congratulations E, you deserve pats on the back all round, that is a fantastic achievement, well done :T:T:T
BHB, enjoy the beef  I can just see your parents sat at the table tucking into their Sunday roast when a whole herd of goats come running in through the door, round the table and back out again :rotfl:
What's the weather like up at way at the moment, we're still hoping of getting a few days away next week.

Wouldn't be the first time
It's the lambs that are more likely to do that today though as they are closest to the house........ I'll just get the mint sauce out if they do :rotfl:
