I’m reminded of the removals company employee who recently showed great surprise when I queried their Ts and Cs with them. She said, ‘oh, people don’t usually read those…’.
It looked to me like they’d copied and pasted three or four competitors’ Ts and Cs and not bothered to edit anything at all. It was grammatically wrong and contradictory.
Looks like Susie and James aren’t up yet…0 -
Some further information about this company:
It was incorporated five months ago on 6 March 2009, so it has not yet filed any accounts or annual returns. The sole director and shareholder is John Edward Turner of Crawley, West Sussex, with a date of birth of 25 July 1969. He is also the sole director of City and Westminster Cleaning Services Ltd, which is also a new company incorporated on 22 January 2009.
Turner is not on the edited electoral roll at the residential address that he's submitted to Companies House.
Of course, it's not compulsory to be on the electoral roll, but basically what you have here is a company with no track record, no filing history, and no means of identifying the sole director (who is not required to provide any kind of proof of ID or address to Companies House).
Now it gets more interesting. There's "another" John Edward Turner on Companies House, who has given a date of birth of 27 July 1969. This individual is the sole shareholder and director of JT Portfolio Ltd, which was incorporated on 14 May 2009.
The articles of association for JT Portfolio use exactly the same format, typeface etc as those for First Direct Investments. Because he gives a different address and date of birth, Companies House treats him as a different individual, but I'd be willing to bet that it's the same guy.
For this company Turner gives a residential address in Banstead, Surrey, where not only is he not on the electoral roll, but someone else (the owner of the property) is on the electoral roll.
It all smells extremely fishy, and I would run a mile from this company.
Very interesting.
It's all a bit odd thinking of this 40 year old guy, having to sneak around , change his D.O.B., fake addresses, scouring the internet creating fake supporting posts and AIs - always looking over his shoulder doing a scam - company after company - no real job satisfaction, no product, nothing achieved, nothing productive - wonder how someone's life ends up like that... and I guess no real CV or qualifications so trapped in some weird shady world.... all a bit depressing really.0 -

Ok *now* have the image of a 40 year old petty scam artist - cross dressing whilst playing with doll's and pretending to be women on the internet....0 -
</insert popcorn eating smilie here>
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -
Well susie, I dont think anyone on here is actually unemployed, I think most of us are probably cramming a bit of MSEing into our working day.
Personally I DONT believe you can be a partner in that business, possibly a canvasser though (the sort I get ringing me up now and then to tell me Ive won a competition I havent entered and inviting me to a presentation - basically a time share scam - the last girl sounded as if she were eating an apple as she went through her list of potential mugs - slammed down the phone when I told her I never enter comps)..0 -
